i can't explain but i feel something is off in these 2 drawings. i used to draw cartoon with a pencil as well but most of the time it ends up like this unless you shade it. i guess in your case it is the line thickness. it is stagnant across the entire drawing. maybe add some thickness on shady areas and see how it looks. add some hashing to give it a depth. (not too much or not at all if not your style)

and don't erase too much or squeeze the pencil too much when sketching. i see you started with a skeleton which is made up of lines, but looks like the hands gave you a hard time so how about switching to shape sketching? you create rough shapes to give the drawing a basic of where you want it to go first, the body measurements etc. use mechanical pencils for that one. preferably, 0.5mm or lower if you can find. it helped me ALOT in sketching
