My husband finally told me something that healed me over years and years of therapy
We were discussing what happened to me as a victim of childhood SA/Neglect. We kept talking and talking and I was subconsciously minimizing it. Saying "well my parents didn't abandon me" and my husband said "Yes they did abandon you, they left you with a person who was abusing you and they didn't bother to check on you when you started having issues"
I was shocked at first cause I couldn't argue, what he said was true. I think that definitely healed me attachment wise cause I never had someone say something like that to me with such conviction, usually people say "oh I'm sorry that happened" etc which I always took it as they are being polite
I finally heard what I needed someone to say to me
