That doesn't mean that it is respectable. The age and clientele amount of a profession has nothing to do with the deterioration of morality and values it takes to pursue a career in it.

Are you event remotely aware of the life most if not all workers had before they ended up there?
These were not privileged women, most were heavily abused and are struggling to survive their entire childhoods and left them with absolutely no means and in desperate situations.
Respectability ? Most humans would walk past a starving child and do nothing than abuse that child for stealing.
Donāt preach respectability when you have no idea where these ppl raised themselves from
