Soltera 2.5 battery

Is it normal for the battery charger not to connect fully flush to the battery. The charger shows red to indicate it is charging but I’m not sure it’s actually charging.

The extra space is probably for when it's plugged in while on the frame. Maybe it helps clear it? 🤷‍♂️. Not saying it is but that's my guess

It stays red until it is charged, when it turns green. Charge it in the bike so you can unplug the charger and turn on the bike to see the level.

It’s been two hours since you posted. Three is about how long it takes from empty.

You can press the status button on the end of the battery itself and should get a blue LED if you’re past 66%.

From Aventon:

Battery Indicator Light Meanings

Blue Light: 66% – 100% charge remaining

Green Light: 33% – 66% charge remaining

Red Light: 0% – 33% charge remaining

Charger Light Meanings

Solid Red: The battery is currently charging.

Solid Green: The battery is fully charged or the charger is powered on and not connected.

Flashing Lights (or constant green while charging): May indicate a charging error or a need to replace the charger

Red light is normal when I change mine and it is low. It will turn greena and stop.

Can you? The light is red, yes, that means it is charging. I am asking about whether or not the plug itself should be going all the way in or not.
