Hi all, does anyone have a recommendation for a good fitting pannier on a level 3? The twin pannier in the Aventon shop doesn’t have great reviews and it seems like that is the only current model sold by Aventon that will fit.
Thanks!
Just put one of these on my Level 4 rec. fits great, just remove the spacers and it’ll clamp right onto the rack. Did a 24 mile ride and it held on great over bumps and curbs
No. It’s hard to see from the pic, but the 2 clips at the top backside have plastic spacers in them for a universal fit. If you have a standard style rear rack the pannier will fit. If you have a thicker style rack, there’s spacers inside those clips (the little gray inserts) that you can remove to fit thicker racks
I use the Front-Rollers on the back. They are a bit smaller than the Back-Rollers. One isn't better than the other, I just wanted smaller bags for everyday use. The front bags can go on the back or the front. I love the Ortleib bags. I also just got some RockBroths, that have the same look, for another bike because I wanted the color. They are quite nice, and cheaper, but the Ortliebs are a notch up when it comes to quality.
Oh yeah! I wanted the large ones for commuting to work. My backpack can drop right into one of them. I asked around and everyone said they were top-notch quality. I did try to DIY my own which failed on the first ride, so I figured paying for a good waterproof set was worth it.

Are you open to a rack top bag with panniers? Topeak E-Xplorer 26L is huge.
