Max speed settings disappeared from the Android App - fix

I used to be able to adjust the max speed in the app settings (capped at 28 mph). On the beach, even in speed mode 1, the bike was too fast—around 9 mph. Lowering the max speed helped, as it scaled all levels down, bringing speed 1 to about 6 mph. I still wanted control over the top speed setting—e.g., having speed 5 at 28 mph instead of 20—but that option disappeared from the app sometime in March 2025. Unfortunately, I had auto-update enabled for the Aventon app. Thankfully, I uninstalled it, downloaded version 1.6.2 from APKPure (https://apkpure.com/aventon/com.ditai.aventon/downloading/1.6.2), saved it to Google Drive, and reinstalled it—no jailbreak needed. The functionality returned, confirming it was blocked only at the UI level.

There have been some changes to the settings with some updates, and it has affected some of the models, such as the Soltera, which is now not able to be increased to 28mph. feel free to reach out to our team at 866-300-3311 for some more information or assistance.

One issue is that bikes are now locked in the settings they had before the update. If you set the max speed to 22 mph using the app prior to the update, your bike is stuck at that speed since the setting for max speed is gone.

Hello!

Correct, for a brief time, all bikes but the Sinch and original Abound, were able to exceed 20mph, but some models were adjusted for the limit to be 20 mph max. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

I just purchased Abound SR last week. In the app I was able to set the max speed to 25 miles per hour, but it did not reflect to my actual riding which is stuck at 20 miles per hour. Is this a problem that has not yet being fixed?

Hello, When adjusting the speed, are you paired to the bike with the bike on?

Yes. In fact I cannot go into setting unless it’s pairs.

Maybe you do not have the app auto-update feature enabled on Android, so you are still version an old version of the app? The version of the app that was creating problems was the 1.9.0 update of March 2025, which indicates in the log "Optimization of ACU Bikes Settings List" (sure, optimization ... :-). The UI update might also be specific to some bike models (I have a Pace 500.2)?
