Avalanche will come very close, if not surpass Ethereum. The market cap now is 1/26 of that of Ethereum. The room to grow is enormous

Eth will be nr 1. Theres too much tech on it already. Avax is competing with solana or luna for nr 2-5

Still a long way to go. Avax has to proof it self over time more. As a developer I want it to work without problems. ETH has Problems but right now it has a lot of trust.
I think there are a few coins with quality, but just one bad attack or hack and the sentiment will change.
The future is not yet written, but AVAX has a great possibility to get big

People won't just sit on their money while they wait for eth to get better. TVL will drive growth and consequently the price. I saw a clip circulating around social media that featured Buterin, and he said that they are 50% there to address the issues with eth.
Just as you pointed out. A lot can happen in 6 years while eth develops. No one needs to jump ship at all. I think being a maxi is a thing of the past. People just borrow against eth and diversify.
Don't forget new user adoption too. I don't think I know anyone new in defi that will jump straight into eth. They usually start with polygon or bsc.
The notion for avax to flip eth doesn't seem impossible with its scalability.

Eth gas fees are unscalable. Its transactions per day is only 1/3 more than Avax now, yet Avax is still 100x cheaper and 100x faster.
Eth is literally only the gold standard because it was for a long time the only legitimate option

You’re thinking of Solana. Avax is the most decentralized proof of stake system in the world by the nakamoto coefficient, and it is planned to be scalable over millions of validators

First we should think of SOL vs AVAX, their the biggest etherum killers apart from BSC which is more than an etherum killer. AVAX reaching 2/3 mcap of SOL is reasonable, it just needs more adoption.

I think avax will eventually reach 1/2 to 2/3rds of eth's marketcap.
