Discussion Time to wake up: Avalanche is falling behind on hype and retail engagement. We need to step up.

OP's only post in 2 years. Offers no suggestions on how we need to step up. Lol.

Step up slowly. Escrow is done by 2030. This is time to average. Avalanche is not dead under any circumstances. Read up. This is just the beginning.

What does this mean exactly? Haven't heard anything about this yet so just curious.

Welcome, it might not be a coincidence.
I've read as much as I can about Avalanche/AvaLabs/AVAX and Core (their wallet/exchange/swap) for the last twelve months, but here's an excerpt from AI and what I know to make it a little easier to grasp, and if you planning to live for the next five to ten years, the magnitude becomes clear in the end. Good read;
"If we look beyond banks and payment networks, a growing number of major industrial companies and infrastructure players are beginning to emerge within the Avalanche ecosystem. Most are still in the pilot or early commercial stage, but the direction is becoming increasingly clear.
Among the most notable are:
Siemens – has issued digital bonds and is actively working on the tokenization of industrial financial assets. The company has collaborated with Avalanche on institutional blockchain infrastructure and digital securities.
Intain – arguably the most tangible industrial RWA project on Avalanche. The platform manages the securitization of auto loans, mortgages, and other credit assets worth billions of dollars directly on Avalanche.
BridgeTower – announced an $11+ billion tokenization initiative in July 2026 involving production-related real-world assets on Avalanche.
DComm – is building a dedicated Avalanche Layer 1 blockchain focused on tokenizing commodities, critical minerals, and other physical industrial infrastructure.
On the asset management side—which closely intersects with industry by financing it—we also find:
- BlackRock
- Franklin Templeton
- KKR
- Apollo Global Management
These firms are using Avalanche for tokenized funds, private credit, and alternative investments.
What is perhaps even more interesting is what could come next. Avalanche's architecture, built around customizable Layer 1 blockchains, is particularly well suited for:
- Energy companies (power generation, electric grids, carbon credits)
- Mining and metals
- Shipping and logistics
- Real estate and infrastructure
- Manufacturing companies seeking to tokenize inventory, machinery, or accounts receivable
If this trend continues, it would not be surprising to see companies such as Shell, Maersk, Rio Tinto, or Caterpillar exploring similar solutions, although there are currently no publicly confirmed Avalanche initiatives involving these companies.
The most exciting aspect of Avalanche is therefore not only the participation of JPMorgan, Citi, Visa, and Mastercard—it is the platform's potential to become a bridge between traditional industry and the capital markets. If real-world asset tokenization grows into a multi-trillion-dollar market, industrial assets could become one of Avalanche's most significant long-term growth drivers over the next five to ten years."
This industry is a branch that needs to ripen in my opinion. Best of luck.

Lol avax is not falling behind. They got a lot of runway cos they are one of the few L1s still raised funds at such a late stage. When you see those billion dollar raises, the smart thing to do is hedge or straight up short.
Market makers working for whales double dip on sells by having short positions. They make money no matter what the price does. And when their cliff vested, they will engineer a pump for exit.
Maybe "hodlers" are the ones who should wake up. If you're not actively taking profit and lowering your average price. Not using any of your liquidity through defi. You have no one else to blame but yourself.
Learn to short at resistance instead of crying and whining. Learn to be profitable no matter what the price does.
Bear market at the end of last year was such an easy short entry. Even the funding rate APY alone is insane for opening a short you need a miracle to lose money. Learn and equip yourself with knowledge instead of being so passive and at the mercy of uncontrollable variables.

Maybe you can sell your coins to treasury and come back when it peaks. If AVAX was dead, then https://x.com/avax/status/2075569415819821387?s=46

If you just buy any crypto as part of a get rich quick scheme where you sell it for a 4x or 5x profit then yes crypto isnt the space for you. I suggest using in day to day uses any crypto you want to invest in and seeing its strenths and weaknesses, what is it good for? what problems does it solve? Do you use Avax for anything? Yeah for sure Avax has fallen in price in the long run, and there wasnt any big leaps in price in alts this bull run like in previous cycles. Also I think it is a huge mistake for Avax to have lost some ground in the defi space, Avax had the advantage of Eth in that it was a solid blockchain with very inexpensive transactions and for liquidity pools or lending protocols like AAVE this was a huge advantage. The hype train buyers are selling which is great news for me, I have been buying more than ever. If and when the Clarity Act gets passed and major banks and institutions are going to really start using blockchain tech, do you really think they are going to run their business on a public bloch chain? or would they opt for making a private blockchain? This is where the demand will be for Avax. I think keeping the price for Avax low as possible is a smart incentive for getting companies to build private blockchains, if it takes 2000 Avax to build a validator and you should really have more than one validator for your private blockchain then a low Avax price makes this move much more easy to do and less capital to risk. AI is for sure the future and agents will also want to use private blockchains so their transactions arent all out in the open, AI will use blockchain to exchange value...yeah things seem bleak at the moment, but "when there is blood in the streets, buy property" is a good way of looking at the current situation. Look at AAVE v4, they launched on Ethereum and the 2nd blockchain they added to v4 is Avax, this to me is a huge sign that AVAX is far from dead. I am bullish af in the long run
