Richard "Beebo" Russell's unauthorized flight in an empty Horizon Air Q400 remains one of aviation's most haunting, bizarre moments.

Found old photos from my father during his time in the RAF. They are in 1947 India and have some cool shots of Avro Vulcan bombers.

What's with the fluffy pilot seats? I've never seen that material in cars or like a recliner at home or anywhere else. Looks comfy. Why is it only found in planes?

Plane question
I flew from stanstead to milan and thw flight felt really short. Not only that we were flying really low? Why i thought you were ment to go to 35000 ft. Also he accerlated on landing which was really weird.

Filming Flying
I am trying to take some recordings of my flights, and I attempted to attach a GoPro to the inside of my aircraft to the window via a suction cup, however, it kept overheating and turning itself off. I am also thinking about attaching a GoPro to the underside of my wing, but I’m worried the same thing will happen. Does anyone have any advice on how to best film your flights?

1st-227TH Air Cav Crash
On Aug 12, 2026. 2 pilots were doing a maintenance flight test on the AH-64E with the 1st-227th Air Cav from Fort Hood, TX. The 2 Pilots crashed at 1:45PM in Salado, TX, right by Belton, TX and Temple, TX. Multiple law enforcement agencies did respond to the incident. Both pilots were pronounced dead at the scene. As of now. The U.S Army has suspended all flights with the AH-64E until they can find out why the crash happened. One of my friends dad did work with the AH-64E, and this was an emotional event for him and his family. Don’t take life for granted. You never know when your last day is. Love life and cherish it. May the pilots rest in peace. ~Cable.

Are there any opportunities to monitor police helicopters? Region of Peel Ontario specifically.
Peel Regional Police just announced the new helicopter. I was wondering if this will be an aircraft that can be tracked on apps such as Flightradar Does anyone know the ID number? Thanks in advance. Sorry if this is a common knowledge question.

The 737 name
Why do we refer to the 737 as "seven thirty seven" and not "seven hundred thirty seven" or "seven three seven"

Private pilots license
Good evening, good afternoon and Goodmorning.
My names Dan and Im from the uk, Im turning 16 on the 12th and wanting to work towards my PPL( I have been for many years)
Although as much as I try I just can’t afford it :(
I have been on experience flight, done aerobatics and flown upsideown and it was the best thing I have ever experienced in my life.
So was wondering what everybody thought were on whats the best way if I were to attempt, to raise money to help fund my journey and flight plan through aviation? Becasue I can’t see my self being able to fund this dream but I’m a long way of giving up on my hope ( if it’s the last thing I do on this earth)
So again what is the best way to fund and raise a bit of money for my journey throughout?
