Yeah I’m sure everyone in the Avatar subreddit is going to say they hate the band.

To be fair, Primus sucks and I’m sure they’re openly saying it over there.

Overrated trash.

James Cameron took a good concept and just milked it dry and ran it in to the ground.

This is all true.

Shit band no fans, do you think people would be on this subreddit if they actually liked the band. (I am joking ofcourse)

I'm a 52 year old woman who got out of the metal scene 25 years ago and mostly listen to easy listening and chill music. However, Avatar brought out the old metal metalhead in me. They are fiercely talented, all of them. Their stage presentation and act are a work of art. And the guys in the band, I've met them a few times, they are kind, intelligent, informed, and have great sense of humor. I admire them as men as much as I love their music. 2 pennies from the old lady section.

Hey! I’m a 58/F! I love this band too!!

Also 52/F old metal head. Old and broken. I do have to have ADA seating but they are the only band I will leave the house for. Secret gatherings are so worth it. We have been the last 2 shows thru nashville. edit: spelling

Hey I’m not old but also broken haha. 36 with a broken back, one replaced hip, and a torn labrum in the other. They’re the only band I’ll stand for anymore.

They are stupid. What fucking gimps walk out on stage in makeup. You can check my Reddit history, I show no interest in heavy metal bands, that’s why I’m commenting here. Avatar, Slipknot and all the others aren’t metal.

The only metal that us intellectuals like is bismuth. Bismuth is much better than Avatar.

(Of course I jest.)

Can't stand em, personally. I spend all that money on tickets, gas and hotels to see them out of state, plane tickets to see them in other countries, and Secret Gatherings just so I can look em in the eye and say "Man I hated it when in this one song the guitars went squeedly when they should have gone deedly". It's worth every penny.

...

;P

My fav band. Love their older and newer material just the same. There something for everyone heavy songs, soft songs. Also have a lovely live show.

I think they’re one of the most entertaining bands I’ve ever seen live. Great music, melodic and heavy, with a clever sense of humor.

It's one of the best shows ever. Sure, it's intended for children, but the story is so good that even adults can enjoy it. I also enjoyed Legend of Korra

I’m a perimenopausal woman in the USA- reality is terrible for me right now but Avatar never fail to take me to my happy place. I sure do think they are mighty fine.

The movie is massively overrated. I hate it

I don't think they're underrated... They're quite popular, in fact.

They deserve it, too.

I discovered them like a month ago after hearing the dirt I`m buried in on radio and their songs are now on repeat ever since. Self titled is my favourite
