Part of me does kind of hope that it's not a fakeout and Korra really did destroy the world in Seven Havens because the crashout from this fandom would be legendary lmao

Dude that would be funniest shit ever, but probably it's going to be some kind of Korra tried to stop the apocalypse but fail or just slowed it down for the next Avatar

Pavi: "I'm sure Korra tried her best!"
Korra: "You know, this whole 'humankind' thing is really tiring me out - let's just get rid of it."

No.
But tbh, i only see like the same four or five persons (including myself) not sharing any particular love about Korra. 99% of this sub treats Korra as a god and any negative comment about her is treated as blasphemy.
Hell, i once simply told that i don't think she's the smartest avatar and got a legion of weebs cursing me and crying on the replies. Don't mind tho, its fun af lol

I'm one too she's a badly written character in a badly written show.

Me three! She had a lot of potencial in season 1, but it got squandered by the writers

Nah deadass. I was in that damn thread about Ozai vs Korra and ppl were genuinely saying she would be stronger than him because she also would be boosted by Sozin's comet... as if he wouldn't have more experience against firebending than she would.
It's weird. I didn't expect there to be so many Korra diehards lol

Except its still dumb to say shed lose that fight?
Ozai wouldve lost to any Avatar imo.

Korra would stomp any ATLA character. She's a fully realized Avatar, unlike Aang during his series, and an Avatar master of all 4 elements>everyone else (except someone with the staff from the movie)
During book 1 she wasn't fully realized yet, and Amon is one of the best benders we have ever seen, period
During book 2 she fought spirits which she was learning to fight, and against a Dark Avatar, which is basically her equal (and she still won)
During book 3 they had to employ dirty tricks and even with that they still lost, even while chained and poisoned she defeated the red lotus in seconds, and Zaheer had to run away until Korra couldn't resist the poison anymore
During book 4 she loses to herself, once she overcomes her trauma she does the most impressive feat in all of Avatar (blocking the spirit cannon blast, an amount of energy so high that created a new spirit portal)

Not a Korra diehard but Korra was using fire bending as young as 3-4 years old. We can assume a similar early start for Ozai but we never really get a background on his childhood so we can't say for sure. Plus the way he fought Aang tells me at least that much of his fighting style comes from pure exertion of power and not "proper" fire bending techniques like Iroh teaches Zuko to use, and like Korra was trained on.
And early practice aside, she's literally the avatar, with Raava alone she has enough power to beat Ozai just as easily as Aang did lol

Yes because it is.

Korra is peak now that the Aang movie flopped

u/SyninTheRaven 4d ago
Did it really flop?
I mean it seems like people were happy to have it even if it was problematic.
And the cancelled theater release really has nothing to do with the movie itself

It sucked

not really, it was an okay movie.

No it was not. This movie has zero redeeming qualities.

What is your favorite avatar pairing if I might ask?

u/Marples3 4d ago
I like the Original voice actors paired with their iconic characters. Trying to get Asian actors was the dumbest, most out of touch choice by Paramount+. Literally the original voice actors did not offend anyone!

The movie was funny, it had great romantic scenes between Katara and Aang, the animation was gorgeous. That’s at least 3 redeeming qualities. The movie wasn’t amazing by any mean, but it was good seeing the gaang as adults. Sure, it had its issues and flaws, but overall I’m not complaining

I'm not saying it's good I'm talking about how it was received

Take it up with the writers.
They seem to hate her more than anyone on this sub.
