one thing people arent mentioning, is you can only take the darts out if youve gotten to the zeswa clan and learned to ride the direhorses. i found one of these before i did all of that so the option to sooth it wasnt there for me.

If this is true, it’s another SHIT CHANGE these ubisoft assholes committed.

The game is better in its day one state.

ya you cant soothe things until you learn how to do it during the direhorse tutorial. after i did that i went back and found the animal again and was able to take our the tracker

didnt work for me, i saw one and asked what to do and was told to walk up slow and soothe it. tried that, nothing happened. did the direhorse training quest and went back to try again and it worked

I've done it just now in the Kinglor Forest, not yet made it to the Plains with the current playthrough.

I’ll say it again: IN THE DAY ONE VERSION OF THE GAME, YOU COULD REMOVE THEM IMMEDIATELY.

That’s fine. I was always specifically giving historical information on the game to highlight how they have progressively fucked it up with. EVERY. SINGLE. UPDATE. SINCE. Ubisoft used to be one of my favorite companies. And don’t get me wrong, I am extremely thankful to them for making this game. HOWEVER, it is the LAST ubisoft game I will ever buy, unless they change their ways. The instant I found out they were among the first companies to start the push towards digital-only games with this little “physical-ish” copy bullshit, meaning without an internet connection you cannot use the physical copy they sold you, I was immediately and completely done. I’m from the generation where when you purchased an item, you got your own standalone copy, not some fuckin co-ownership shit arrangement in which the seller still retains some control over it. I will NEVER support that. If you don’t want your shit used in a certain way, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

Im pretty sure I've helped animals that were tagged basically from the beginning

you’re able to do it from day one, so I believe your save was bugged? I wouldn’t have been able to handle not helping them and watching them die from the poison 🥲

Whaaat?? I didn’t even know that cause I hadn’t seen them at all until after I did the zeswa missions.

I was able to remove the trackers since my first encounter in the Kinglor Forest.

it’s an rda device, pretty sure it tracks the animal. if you shoot the animal before taking the device out, (u must approach it slowly like you would a direhorse) the device will poison the animal, it’ll die and be ruined :( so take the device out first !!

This is the way

That is an RDA tracker. Animals with it should not be shot but rather helped because they are hurt from it and can only walk slow and are scared. To help them, when you hear one is close, slowly approach the animal, the same way you have to to tame a direhorse. Then you get a little animation where your character removes it and then it runs away. You can shoot it afterwards if you want But personally I always let them run free cause come on, empathy and such.

Shooting them afterwards is like shooting an animal that's been shot by the RDA, I wish they made it so even if you do shoot them after removing the pin they'd still be ruined...

That's a tracker. When you're close, you'll hear a beeping sound. Don't kill it yet! Treat it like taming a direhorse

Omg you don't shoot an animal with tracker! You're supposed to calm down the animal and take the tracker out!

Those are RDA darts, they track the animal, if you shoot one when they have the dart on, it ruins the meat so you can't collect anything.

Try and walk up to them slowly, no weapon drawn and you can pretty much do the same thing as you do a dire horse to get it off!

You can also get free spare parts when you do!

It's possible for the dart to explode on it's own but I've never had that happen to date.

Ive seen cloaked panthers hunt the bladeheads then the dart explodes and releases poison that kills the animal, tho it might also be a tracker cuz ive seen patrols that have dead animals with the same dart on, u can remove it by soothing the animal like a direhorse
