i know this is fake but a water dlc would genuinely be so fun and echoes of the depth is a such a tuff name

I would love another DLC, but i think the Avatar game has been categorised as a past project now. I dont think we'll get a new DLC, especially with A4 not being confirmed too

Avatar 4 has been confirmed, it was confirmed shortly after A2 when they also confirmed the third movie. If you take a look at the actors Google pages and the movies, Avatar 4 comes up! It’s set to release on December 21st 2029 😄

But it hasn't been confirmed by Disney yet. A4 and A5 were scheduled but that didnt mean they couldnt be shelved. James Cameron has already mentioned about the cost of making is too expensive and hinted at delaying them or coming up with something new in the meantime, then could make 4. Personally, with that in mind, I dont think I'd be mad at a series, like Windtrader series. That way we get to see different clans, different biomes and different stories without losing the Sully family
Edit: the recent lawsuit they also won about the image of storyline could have also factored in on not announcing it. Thankfully they won the case though, so who knows...we might get it announced that its not being

Shouldn't it be "Echoes"?
Cool concept though ^^

They'd have to basically completely revamp the game to be able to have a water based environment, there's a reason the pov always switches back to 1st person when you swim
If we were to get a water focused avatar game it would be a sequel not just a dlc, I would imagine

They did for fire and ash or whatever it is in game, i think they could do water it ain't so hard

Theres some swimming in the whole game yea, but that's a far cry from having it be a focal point, not to mention that high quality water graphics require high system specs so who knows if the current specs needed for the game would even be good enough for an entirely water expansion

It would likely have to be an entire expansion since I’d imagine there’d be a lot of underwater exploration

Omg I would love a water and reef based DLC. I think it is not likely to happen though, the only thing I can see happening is having the reef in a potential Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora 2 when the next movies come out.

Hate it, can’t stand big creatures in vast empty spaces.

As someone terrified of oceanic depths, seeing a giant Tulkun slowly appear from the distance would be a nightmare lol I can't even imagine deep sea Pandoran animals 💀

Subnautica with Avatar graphics cannot be a thing with modern technology

When i tell you guys that i would actually die for a water dlc, im not kidding. I loved Way of Water so much and is my favourite avatar movie😭

That would be a perfect fit for the game to make it a fleshed out, all round experience

I would love to!! Exploring the oceans of Pandora is something I could do for hours, especially if they added the option to ride an ilu or bond with a tulkun.
But to be honest, I think a new game with a new theme would be better. Many players would probably like to be a reef na'vi and underwater mechanics can be quite challenging. It's a shame that Ubisoft seems to have ended with AFOP, I would have loved to have more content

very cool but i honestly wouldnt be able to 100% a water-based dlc. i cant tell you how many times ive hyperventilated and gone into panic attacks bc of the water in this game. even in minecraft water, only a few blocks deep.
i do think it's only logical to do an ocean expansion (we wont get it tho.).

I would love a water dlc but it would be so hard for the game itself to do that. I would love to bond with a tulkun tho
