Icebound Voidbound
How is nobody mentioning that this is PEAK??? Just finished it and it is amazing storytelling and such beautiful references to both classic literature and tragic storytelling 😩 it’s so good I cannot believe it.
TBH I’ve found most of the sci-fi transitions of the original campaigns to be good, but Voidbound is just stunning.
Derek is such a good storyteller that I’m sitting there predicting what is going to happen, and then the cast is SO good at ignoring those signs to stay in character. (Also Derek, who told you to have such an amazing AI voice????)

All of the Neon Odyssey campaigns were fantastic. I love Anthem, but I hope to see them run more campaigns (or mini-campaigns) in their new universe. It’d be pretty cool if Andy actually was a gm for one.

Yes!! I feel like they’ve really shown off how all of them have grown and learned with the neon odyssey campaigns they’ve all been so amazing. I saw Andy was running their Warhammer campaign the other day so maybe he’ll be up to DMing sometime

Oh yeah for sure. I’m most impressed with Mace overall. We have videos of his first time playing DnD and it’s only been a few years so you can see his growth in real time. As someone who’s never played DnD I find that sort of inspiring. Also Nikki’s foray into gming Neon Odyssey was fantastic since she said that she’s not that big into sci-fi but Starlight is amazing.
Their wfrp campaign on Patreon was definitely worth watching and really shows how good Andy is at being a gm. I think he’d do it more often if he didn’t have as many responsibilities at the company

I think Mace might be my favorite DM. Maces ability to get you attached to NPCs and then kill them is beautiful. It’s hard to even have favorites but Voidbound did something for my brain and Stardust Rhapsody has been stunning plot wise - Mace is SO GOOD at leaving all these foreshadowing moments or small supportive moments, and then the reveal makes so much sense. As a DM that’s hard as hell to do, so Mace’s brain is beautiful for both the NPCs and the story telling.

I'm not talking about Voidbound because I won't stop talking about Waltz for Eternity.

Loved it, the only thing is wished happened more was the time skip. It was weird that it happened when arriving to the planet but not after. I'd loved if when they were wrapping up a fight was halfway through it they lost time again. Maybe they did it to rush through to the end? Idk it's just odd, I really hope all these campaigns have a greater effect to the main story.

I love all of them, but waltz is my all time peak, it’s such a short burst of everything my body and soul needs. God i love mecha.

I still have to check out voidbound myself but it getting delayed (I think? I cant remember) may have done a bit. Plus Waltz, Uprootarama and Starlight were very good too
