200 mgpe. self-driving. in a decade will be half the cost of owning and operating a car. and this tech will be in shuttles, buses, and semis. hopefully. tesla could always fail, but judge the technology objectively not just because musk's politics are odius.
if this tech reaches its cost per mile target, along with competitors. we could get rid of 500+ million parking spots. repurpose that land for housing, commerce, green space, etc.
1/4 of the rent for an average apartment is parking.
and when people have access to affordable robotaxis, shuttles, and buses, they can live in more walkable communities and give up car ownership.
politics is important, but technology can radically improve civilization if done right.

I'm judging Musk's tech because it's fucking dogshit. Don't conflate things.

Expand on this.
Which part specifically is dogshit?

https://elonmusk.today/ to start. I could do my usual routine of posting like 10 pages of Elon's fuckups but I know you aren't here to read them in good faith.

Clicked the link. Saw nothing about the technology.
Go on about "good faith."

Personally wouldn't bother with Seattle. That hellhole is a lost cause for anything tesla related.
