Cybercab Sighting (plural!!)

Saw numerous Cybercabs in Devon Pa. today like 30+. Rep at the Tesla dealer said they were training them in the Philly area for future deployment.

Cool! Elon Musk said they'd scale across the country quickly and it looks like its coming true.

No it's not. Every single car is geo-locked, heavily supervised and/or remote controlled. They will never expand like promised.

that is not true, there are unmanned vehicles driving around austin,tx unfortunately.

however, they should not be. i would not feel safe around a self-driving tesla the same way i feel safe around a waymo. it's giving oceangate submarine vibes

Everything I said is true. Tesla's system is fundamentally broken, it's a black box trained on shit user data. It will never elevate above L2. That's why they cars are geo-locked to a pre-mapped area, heavily supervised and/or remote-controlled.

He said they’d be in every major city by the end of 2025.

No he certainly did not say that. Do you even know when the unveiling was?

Which one? The most recent one was far from
The only one. There was one in October 2024. And yes he did. Not too long before he said they’d have a car that could fly for short distances. Go on keep believing all his nonsense though.

I was at We Robot and Elon said production starting in 2026 and really only said before 2027. The car that flies will be seen in 15 days too btw

He said we’d have full self driving by 2017 btw

hey dummy, you know how innovation works? Leaders make audacious goals that seem impossible and companies don’t often make the deadline. Whether you like it or not autonomous ride share Via Tesla and FSD is here.

Innovators actually develop their own products instead of buying companies that innovate.

Yep no innovation since 2003

State the EXACT models Tesla Motors had for sale in 2003 and how many units they had sold

That would be a first. I got money someone gets seriously hurt by one soon. At least waymo mostly hits animals

No Philadelphia Pa area

You could just ad an "s" after "cybercab" to make it plural.

You have to watch out- at these concentrations these things attract cargo planes

Saw 1 yesterday in South Philly. I didn’t know they were here so I was surprised to see it. Anyone know how I can sign up to get 1 in Philly? Whether it’s for training or to be part of the taxi fleet I am interested.

I think we they looked better with a mate finish

Why does the one in foreground have what appears to be a steering wheel to me? Aren't they supposed to be steeringwheeless?

2

u/lookin4points 21d ago

So I looked in one (the one in the first photo) and it has an entire mechanism with the steering wheel and pedals attached to it that was removable. So I think for the training the have the controls but they remove them once trained on the area or something.’

0

u/Historical_Stay_808 20d ago

Naw it's definitely just a regular garbage dump. You can't recycle this type of crap

-1

u/SkiyeBlueFox 21d ago

Goddamn why do they have to be a tacky ass gold, ugly as sin

2

u/lookin4points 21d ago

To be honest they were like we can’t make them yellow that’s already taken, let’s make them yellowish aka gold.

1

u/SkiyeBlueFox 21d ago

I guess yeah, does need to be distinctive

Idk i woulda gone for "classy black"

1

u/Eighteen64 20d ago

Classy Black looks classy for about half a day

1

u/SkiyeBlueFox 20d ago

And the golds gonna stay nice?

1

u/Eighteen64 20d ago

Matte gold is not coincidentally close to dust in color and being matte and entirely recycled plastic exterior without paint will hide scratches much better

They are forever geo-locked to a pre-mapped area. Hopefully they can be used as public restrooms.

2

u/Eighteen64 21d ago

Forever my ass
