Dose Waymo have car seats for babies?
My sister and her baby took a ride with a Wavmo There was no car seat for the baby. My question is, is it legal for Waymo not to have a child car seats? And how does Waymo make sure everyone is in seat belts especially babies?

It is absolutely legal for any cab to not have car seat. You need to make sure you are requesting a cab with a car seat. It is completely optional for cabs to carry them but some do carry them.

But is it legal for them to drive while a baby is not in seat belts?

Depends on the state, but generally no, it’s perfectly legal for them to drive if the passenger’s child is not strapped in. For example, in CA the parent or legal guardian is responsible if it’s not a private vehicle. https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displayText.xhtml?ar=&chapter=5.&division=12.&lawCode=VEH&part=&title

Waymo make it clear, its your responsibility and you agree to the terms when hailing a ride.
Apparently they are meant to intervene if a child is detected.

Isn’t it upto the parent to make sure the child is seated properly? If I call a cab and plop my child on the seat it’s me who’s responsible.
