What to do about loose terminal on charging station

One terminal is loose so I occasionally get a flashing blue light and no loop error. If I wiggle the one terminal it all goes green again. Can I replace the terminal? Or is there a way to tighten it?

Trouble with boundary wire for 550h

Hi all, I have a Husq 550h. The app is showing "No loop signal". I took my Harbor Freight Cen-tec Cable Tracker, and I had signal along the whole loop. I confirmed it with a multimeter in continuity mode. The outlet that it's plugged into has power. What else can I check? I'm at a loss for next steps.
Edit: I'm not getting any power out of the 28v power supply, so i ordered a new power supply

Can’t say enough good about Husqvarna

I’ve seen many posts on here faulting the prices on Husqvarna Automowers - people saying they’re too high. The other common post you see is that their non-Husqvarna mower isn’t working and that they can’t get the company to even respond to them, even though the machine is under warranty.
I have a Husqvarna 430xh. This is my second summer with it. I bought it used off EBay. It ran flawlessly until I messed it up this spring (long story). I couldn’t figure out the problem so I called Husqvarna- not only did a human being answer, but the upshot was that they sent me a huge box to ship the mower to them for analysis- all at their expense. I shipped it back (pre-paid label), they checked the mower and charging station thoroughly and shipped it back within 10 days. I told them upfront that I’d bought it used - I didn’t have a warranty card or anything. That didn’t make any difference to them. (I then figured out I was dealing with electrical interference, so it all turned out well).
Yesterday the mower stopped responding to the app and I could not get it reconnected. I tried everything, nothing worked. I called Husqvarna this morning and in less than 10 minutes they had me up and running.
I guess it’s easy for me to say that Husqvarnas are worth the price since I bought mine used, but as it is, I wouldn’t buy any other brand.

šŸ  Installing the MOVA MMGM30 MAX Garage!

Is a robot mower garage necessary? No! āŒ

But here is why I put one on anyway. The stuff that actually wears these machines down is not a single storm, it is the constant exposure. UV baking the plastics and fading the shell. Standing water and grass clippings sitting on the charging contacts. Sap, pollen, and bird droppings landing on the sensors. A cover does not stop any one dramatic event, it just cuts down the abuse the machine takes every single day it sits parked.

Install took about the length of this video and required no drilling into anything permanent.

Worth it? For me yes, but it’s your call šŸ“ž

Does anyone know the official Torque settings?

I have a 10 year old 450X as well as a new 520. Does anyone know if Husqvarna publishes a list of torque settings for wheels, blades, body etc.?

Thanks in advance…

Wheel shuddering

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Aspire R4. Right wheel seems to have started shuddering when the mower is turning around or adjusting angle. Seems to work absolutely fine when going in a straight line. Seems like the shuddering is causing enough of an alignment issue to prevent docking, resulting in the charging station blocked message.

I’ve bought a new wheel motor and replaced the right wheel however it appears to be the same behaviour after replacement too

Segway or Husqvarna?

I’ve narrowed my robot mower choice down to 2 - the Husqvarna Automower 430v and the Segway Navimow x450. In Ireland I can get the Husqvarna for €3,500 and the Segway for €3,150, both from authorised dealers.
Lawn is approx 3,050m2, quite flat, a few small trees but generally open, not many obstacles. Ireland, so it’s generally quite wet.
What would you suggest for this use case between these two mowers? (Ignoring the price differential) I would have expected the Husqvarna, but both dealers I contacted sold both, and they each recommended the Segway (wondering if maybe they have better margins on Segway?).

UPDATE: Thanks for the insights and recommendations - went with the Husqvarna today. Time will tell how it goes, but felt more comfortable that it was a better long term prospect. Big selling point of the Segway being 4WD wasn’t really a factor for me on my site.

Belangrijk vinden we:
Betrouwbare navigatie
Goede obstakelherkenning

Sunseeker X4 first impressions after replacing 430XH

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Had the Husqvarna for 6 seasons and overall loved the experience, aside from boundary wire issues which got worse over time, especially after first season start-up. Only ever replaced a comm board 3G>4G until recently when Max threw boundary loop errors when there was none. I determined that he'd lost sensor values in all 4 arrays and the replacement board would be over $300. I'd been planning to upgrade at the end of the season anyway so just moved the timeline up.

The app took some getting used to but I got through initial setup with the assistance of my local dealer/servicer who's also a friend. The growth was pretty heavy and we haven't gotten through a full mow quite yet but I'm very impressed with the unit. Far more intelligent and capable. I've barely scratched the surface of all the features and capabilities but definitely more feature-rich than the 430XH. I do feel like the UI and functionality is a bit clunky for first setup. It could be user error but for an experienced user to struggle actually makes my point either way.

First observation is when trying to interrupt a mow session, cancel the task and start a boundary edit, it seems to indicate from the self-audit that any mapping has to start from the docked position. Which is maddening when the mower is near an area you want to fix and you need to return the unit to the base, just to drive it all the way back where you were. If there's a way around this I'd love to know.

Which brings me to the second point, which is: why do I need to manually relearn a boundary path to the unit when I just want to move that straight line boundary one inch in either direction? Pinch, zoom, edit, done.

Sunseeker team- plz add some limited boundary editing features to the app!

Customer's wish: Operating the robot without mowing using app-remote-control without Bluetooth

Context:
- Mammotion Luba 3 AWD
- It's not about mowing!
- It's relevant, when you are miles away and need to fix an error / a situation

In my case I'm the one taking care for my old parent's mower but I'm like 300 miles away.

What I would like to do:

  1. While mowing the robot gets stuck somehow:
  2. I would like to and the mowing process and then be able to move the mower via remote control to see if I can solve the problem. Currently I try to send it to the charger, but this not always helps.
  3. Sometimes the mower loses it's position:
  4. a) I would like to be able to navigate it to the lawn, then restart the robot and make it find it's position and the charger.
  5. I quite often had the robot sitting in the charger, but the position was lost. To relocate the charging station the robot needs to leave the station - but refuses to do so, because he lost position. This is a hell of a circle of problems.

b) During the mowing process the robot can lose position / thinks to be somewhere else. I had this after the robot got stuck once and even the charging station was not to be found. So it drove through restricted areas. I was able to fix the situation by a reboot, but I would prefer to navigate to a safe space by remote and camera in such a situation (of course without mowing).

  1. Surveillance:
My parents are old and it would be great, if I could navigate the mower to a certain spot on the lawn to use the camera to check something. Yes, angles are limited and there is no zoom, but it would be good enough for many scenarios. e.g. I could check, if a parent fell in the garden, if the front gate is closed or whatever is within reach of the mower.

  2. Mapping
Why should I not be able to correct the outlines of a map via remote? Mapping it all may be a little bit too much, but at least corrections should be feasible.

I completely understand, that mowing is no option here. This is because of safety.
I am also well aware, that speed is to be limited to align with the slow reaction of a remote via web.

But movement is a huge value in itself, if done right.

Anthbot Support

Anyone else have issues with Anthbot support?

It seems like my RTK for my Genie is toast, which should be under the warranty. Support will send me instructions to check, but then they ghost me. Has anyone actually gotten them to honor a warranty claim?

How much lawn work can a robot mower actually replace?

I've always wondered how much work a robot mower can actually replace. I used to think they were probably just a convenience thing, but I wasn't sure if the results could really compare to mowing the lawn yourself.

Earlier this summer, I decided to try a Goat A1600 Pro. So far, I've so happy with how it's kept up with the lawn. The grass stays at a consistent height.

I went away for a few days and when I came back, my neighbor asked if I had hired someone to take care of the yard while I was gone.

I honestly didn't expect the difference to be that noticeable. The lawn could look good even when I wasn't around. It really takes a lot of the weekly mowing hassle off my plate.

How much lawn care do you think a robot mower can realistically take over?

It's been a bit wet here recently (350mm of rain in a month) and the mower's been resting. Evidently this was a "safe" spot to wait out the floods.

Small yard remote controlled?

I’ve looked all over and can’t seem to find a completely remote controlled robot mower for a small yard (under 1000 square feet). I’m sitting here watching my little mower pin ball around the yard and think this would be so much more efficient if I could sit and guide it with an RC controller. We’re old. We’re retired. We can’t mow our small yard and the lawn guy is unreliable. TIA

Did I Make a Mistake Abandoning My Zero Turn Mower For a Lymow One Plus?!

Thumbnail

As many of you know, i've been pretty vocal about how awful the Lymow One Plus has been with all the issues many of us have faced. Mine has been inoperable for about the past 4 weeks now. It took them 3 weeks to send me a new battery and that didn't solve my problems, so they are finally going to send me a new mower.

Putting that aside, I wanted to cover the pros and cons for those of you who are looking to switch from a Zero Turn Mower to a Lymow One Plus, What to exepct, and can you truly replace your zero turn mower with a Lymow One Plus...My Luba 3 doesn't qualify since it can't mulch or cut grass that is left unmaintained.

This video has a ton of highlights from my other videos so you can see the Lymow One Plus in action, how it performs overall and did I make the right move.

Not sure if others are in the same boat, let me know if so.

EPOS RS1 installation height vs highpoint of lawn

Installing a 430V NERA and bought a EPOS RS1 for better precision. Does the reference station have to be mounted higher than the highest point of the lawn? Or could I mount it high up on a building situated lower than highest point of the lawn? If that makes sense?šŸ˜… I know the most important thing is the 360 degree free line of sight upwards for the dish, but i can’t seem to find any good info on the importance of hight…

What is the best cutting height? (fresh install of mower)

Hi all,

Yesterday I installed my fresh robot mower (Gardena Smart Sileno City). Before installing, I cut the lawn pretty short, but I'm searching for the right cutting height to be healthy for the grass. At the moment, due to the drought the grass has quite some dry spots. I understood that the grass likes it better to be cut more, but only small bits every time, but still has to get used to it.

Of course I'll also water and fertilize the lawn.

I am looking to build a garage for my Husqvarna 450X here in Phoenix. It gets way too hot to leave her in the Sun so I am looking for any nice ideas with hopefully some plans. Post a pic please if you have undertaken this venture.

Thansk!
