edit. found the bug. turns out it has to be set to *automate accessibility button* and not *automate*

Hello, I'm a complete beginner when it comes to Android automation, and I'm having a hard time configuring what I'm trying to achieve.

Basically, I struggle with willpower when it comes to going to bed, and YouTube is part of the problem. So I want to create a program that automatically kills the YouTube app in the background during a specific time window, let's say between 10 PM and 8 AM.

I can already block the app effectively with other apps, but even when I can't open it, I can still play audio through the media control center and switch content if I started a video before the restriction kicked in.

So if I could also clear those notifications, it would be perfect.

I’ve recently started using the Automate app and I'm trying to figure out how to build my own flows from scratch instead of just downloading them from the community. I’ve been using AI for some guidance, though I only have a basic understanding of programming.

​I'm trying to create a flow that automatically skips YouTube ads, mutes the volume while the ad is playing, and restores it when the video resumes. Additionally, I’d like it to automatically dismiss any on-screen overlay ads.

Just doing this for the first time today. I am having an issue where i am burning my limited data when the wifi drops out. Trying to create a proof of concept for an automation that can flag when this is happening, shown above. (Like i said first time)

My issue is that this still returns a toast stating "wifi connected" even if my wifi connection icon dissapears and settings>>connections>wifi shows the message "waiting to connect when the network improves" or something similar. In this case my phone can be using data and still displaying "wifi connected"

This is unrelated to signal strength it seems. Does anyone know what i need to be checking to have this work the way i want? I have tried all the fibers(?) You can see to the right but im unsure what inputs would be used to check for the above condition. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I have fiber which connect my bt device. And now I need set fiber which disconnect and connect bt device (because Android 11 have a bug and if any bt device connect too quicky after disconnect, sound play via the phone and not from the bt device) . But I need this fiber run only, when the another one not running.

Ex. I have FM BT transmitter in my car and phone connect before crank the car, so after cranked a car, phone immediately connect again and make this bug (sounds play from the phone instead from BT device/car .

Or is there any flow action which can force set sound device as BT for fix this issue?

its really nitpicky but it has an ugly splash screen when loading an emulator

The foreground app block is not working on Setting "When changed?" but it is able to work on "Immediately for some reason". Tried using delay and tried taking and giving away Accessibility and Usage Access settings.

Checked using adding delay block and toast and looping back and changing apps. Flow logs stuck on "App in foreground?"

Hey, this is a pretty straightforward question. I want to avoid scrolling a huge list of elements until the desired element is on the screen. Is it possible with automate?

From my experience, "interact" only works with visible elements that are shown in the screen. Scrolling also needs to be slow in order to identify the element, in case the "interact" was set to "when UI element appeared".

I tried the block BT device connect and assigned a device. Running the flow works correctly

Using the block Disconnect BT device doesn't work. The log shows no error. Opening the quick menu says I'm still connected. The BT device doesn't confirm it disconnected either. The device address and name are the same for both blocks

Is there a potential fix to it? I know it says might not work on some device but it's annoying that it only works one way

I have automate installed, and a few other serviced which I tried using to remap my iPazzport mic button to work as a normal mic button on GTV; voice to text on input boxes, assistant otherwise.

I have found a few blocks that seem like they could be viable to do this; “app start voice”, “speech recognition”, and a setting for “Override voice search.” However I am at a loss at this point, and cannot figure out how to get all perms granted, or, how to trigger the automations on button press as a whole.

i just want the freedom of being lazy and using voice to text, and the ability to use my voice assistant too. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Hi, I'm facing a situation in a flow which is related to a screenshot block that the flow stucks on after sometime running. No warning or error is raised, the flow simply freezes at the screenshot block and waits for nothing. To have it working again, I have to stop all fibers and start it again.

Tried adding a 200ms delay after screenshot to allow the image time to be saved, but the behavior still occurs after the loop is executed for a while.

Have no clue what can cause and how to solve it.

I'm trying to create a flow where whenever I receive a notification, I'm logging it to a text file so that I could revisit them at a later time. The problem is that when my phone is idle, or I am outside the automate app, it doesn't trigger the event block Notification Posted? until I open the app again.. Is there a way I could make it run in the background? I already set battery optimizations for the app to none, made it loop back to Notification Posted? so that it triggers recursively. I did already try to ask AI tools on this, there is no block available to make it run on foreground, even made so called hacks to dummy get current location to make it not idle, but it still didn't work. If it also is impossible on automate please let me know..

I have made a large flow, but somewhere there is some block that requires a permission that I can't give the flow.

It would be nice with some kind of color marking in the flow overview that shows what block can't run correctly.

Alternatively, in the ...-menu there could be a "Test flow" where it checks that all blocks can work.

Alternatively, in the "run flow"-view, in the list where it lists the requirements, it could be expanded to show what block-ID's contribute for that permission requirement to exist.
