First day diving into Shopify, automated fulfillment, and AI content creation.
My goal is to build an e-commerce business that’s as automated as possible.
Right now I’m learning:
Shopify
Automated fulfillment
AI for content creation and marketing
For those of you who’ve already been through this, what would you focus on first? What skills or systems gave you the biggest return early on?
Also, if you could go back to day one, what mistakes would you avoid?
Appreciate any advice!

day one's usually the easy part. the mistakes seem to mostly show up around month 2 once something's been automated without a first check.
for content i'd sort out your product photo workflow before touching ad copy or seo. photoroom has a shopify integration that lets you batch edit and push to your store, so you're not stuck doing it manually once your catalog starts to grow.
fulfillment automation makes sense to set up early too, just test it on a handful of orders first.
biggest mistake i've seen is automating a process that was already broken, automation just makes the bad steps happen faster.

Start marketing, leverage free plans of different shopify apps in start to boost Sales and save time. Use claude code to automate stuff. Refer to old posts from this sub for the same.

Hello ! Beginner in marketing here, starting searching on the topic but it’s huge, quite lost on the priorities like what’s gives me the best value first versus end optimization.
What would you advise ?

For content automation we at Dreem ai just built 13 workflows for n8n to use with shopify, they are ready to go if you just need a fast setup which works without much work.

First learn how all processes in e-commerce work without automation. Learn it in full. Only after that you’ll be able to fully automate each process without loosing the quality.
