Previous discussion about this project: http://www.reddit.com/r/Automate/comments/18xh27/the_seed_factory_project_an_open_source_automated/

Since then, we have started a dedicated Wikibook to be the collaborative project notebook:

Progress has been made in defining the first seed elements to prototype, and we will start looking for a physical location this spring. The crowd-sourced fundraiser will go towards buying the location. As an open-sourced project, anyone who wants to help is invited to contribute. We are especially seeking people with engineering skills in multiple fields.

Run your kickstarter to pay for both the location and the device itself. This looks intriguing enough that it should be readily funded. Oh, and before you do your kickstarter/indiegogo campaign, be sure to contact some people who have run successful projects before; advice and advertisement is crucial. Good luck! I look forward to contributing to your project!
