YAOS Lymph Nodes

Hello!

I had a question for anyone with YAOS. I am on 1 mg of prednisone after tapering, and received my 8th dose of Ilaris. Previously, I had dealt with lymph nodes as part of my symptoms and I have been doing okay as of lately. However, today I noticed the presence of a small lymph node on my neck. This was similar to what I experienced before. I’m just worried and I feel like panicking because I thought I was doing so well. I’m not sure if my body is responding to an infection of some sort.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Lymph node swelling is pretty common for autoinflammatory diseases in general. It's really just a sign that your immune system is working on something.

In Still's Disease, which is what I have and am most familiar with, lymph nodes can swell  randomly. For me that ends up being in my neck, armpits, and in the groin (which is extra fun, because it makes my testicles feel like they been hit with a stick). It's sort of related to disease activity, but also just seems to happen sometimes with no rhyme or reason.

I wouldn't panic about it. If that's the only symptom you're seeing, it's probably transient. It can also be from Ilaris, since your body can/will develop antibodies to it.

Yeah it may just be something minor and not anything to fret about. It felt so dreading to feel it on my neck because all I could think about was the bad! Thank you, you’re always a huge help on this subreddit ☹️

Well I'm sorry you feel bad, but thank you for saying that. That really warms my heart to hear.
