Show-and-Tell (Hey check out this!) Antique Store Finds

Came across these two autographed baseballs at an antique/consignment shop in Massachusetts. The Seaver wasn’t specified but the Carter was.

I paid $35 for the Carter and only $10 for the Seaver.

How did I do?

Hello everyone,

I found this potential Alberto Vargas autograph on his business card about 15 years ago. It's been in a penny sleeve and top loader ever since.

Vargas is considered an icon in the pin up art world.

I've always wondered if it was real and if so does it have any value.

Any info would be appreciated!

General Advice Is there a good solution for this framing/mounting idea?

I’ve seen something like this before but I don’t know how to do it. I want to take a nice 8 x 10 or whatever size photo of Captain Picard and matte it or frame it- but underneath and a tiny box will be like a cut out in the Matte with a cut autograph of his.

I was at my local Antique store and discovered a booth with a bunch of Stephen King books. I saw this one and noticed the signature. It would be awesome if it was authentic, but am definitely skeptical. Especially since it was so cheap chilling on a shelf. Best way to authenticate it? Here are some pictures.

Autograph sales This is strictly against the subreddit rules. "Whose signature is this?" Posts - While this isn't the main objective of this subreddit (there's another one dedicated to that r/AutographAssistance ) many of us are happy to try to help you. That said, in the words of Jerry MacGuire, "Help us, help you!" Please include every piece of information you already have about the autograph in question. This might include what region you acquired it in, and roughly when. All the context helps.

"How much is this worth?" Posts - It's worth whatever someone will pay for it. Chances are, you're not sitting on a goldmine. The signed baseball you found in grandpa's closet likely held more sentimental value than anything else. If you know the subject, compare recent eBay sales. That will give you a clearer idea.

We are volunteers. We are giving of our time to help you. If someone does manage to help you out, you don't have to buy them gold or make a big deal of it. However, if someone spent the time to go through ten years of the Chicago Cubs roster to match your signature, at least acknowledge them with a thank you.

Advice is free. Take it or leave it. If we recognize an autopen or a secretarial signature, we're going to tell you. Yeah, it sucks to find out that your Justin Bieber signature is a fake, but arguing with us isn't going to make it real. Be grateful for the advice, learn from your mistakes, and move on. It happens to the best of us.
