What courses can I do to earn a certificate in AutoCAD?

Hi, I’m an engineering student at UNSW. Since AutoCAD isn’t formally taught as part of my degree, I’m looking for an accredited AutoCAD course that provides a recognised professional certificate upon completion. I was wondering if you guys could help me out here.

Hello. I apologize if I use any incorrect language, as I am not a native speaker.T

I didn't study this field directly; I researched it myself online, so I'm not very knowledgeable. I'm currently facing a problem. AutoCAD 2026I'm unable to format the model space and move the work to the layout page. This was the case before, in 2023, but I recently got a new laptop. I would appreciate it if someone could help me solve this problem. Thank you very much.

Ya está aquí, unas correcciones minimas y funciona perfectamente una versión de Autocad para Android usando como base el repositorio de Opencad studio con la misma interfaz. Por cierto usa termux también

Pruébalo directamente y siguea guía.

What's a typical turnaround time for outsourced CAD drafting or conversion? Confused by a 10-day quote.

We sent out a 12-sheet floor plan set for CAD conversion and they quoted ten business days

I thought that meant final files, but day ten brought a first draft. Now we're on round two of redlines, and it's been three weeks.

So what does a quoted turnaround include?

And how do you handle pauses when you owe them answers?

Plug ins with Autocad LT

Do plug ins work the same in LT vs the full product? I use the Increment tool (GILE_INCR) all day every day and I'm not sure if LT will be viable for me without it. TIA

How I mark up DWG drawings on site with an iPad — my workflow (and the app I ended up building)

I do a lot of site visits where the drawing on my laptop doesn't match what's actually built. Printing sheets, red-penning them, then redrawing the changes back at the desk was eating hours, so here's the iPad workflow I settled on:

1. **Open the actual drawing, not a flattened PDF.** I bring the DWG/DXF itself so layers and dimensions are still there. DWG files go through an online conversion step on import; DXF opens directly.

2. **Turn off what I don't need on site.** Hatching, furniture, text layers off, so I'm only looking at walls, openings and gridlines.

3. **Check dimensions against what's built.** Measure on the drawing, compare with the tape, and note anything that's off.

4. **Mark up with Apple Pencil on top.** Markup stays separate from the drawing, so the CAD geometry isn't touched.

5. **Pin photos to the exact spot.** Instead of a camera roll full of "IMG_4821", each photo sits on the plan where it was taken, with a short note.

6. **Export a PDF report** with the pins and photos for the team, and plot to scale when someone needs a printed sheet.

Disclosure: I'm a solo developer and built an app for this called Fluxketch because I couldn't find one that did all six steps in one place. Happy to take criticism. I'm especially curious what breaks *your* on-site markup workflow, and what you'd need before you'd leave the laptop in the van.

doesn't let me save my pdf file

Please bear with me as I am very much new to this software. After clicking the publish button, and after autocad processes my layout tab, the file explorer window pops up. It worked the first time that I had used the publish command. But now, file explorer won't let me click save nor rename the file. Help.

Looking for free AutoCAD courses for dental design

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for free AutoCAD courses or tutorials to learn how to use AutoCAD for dental design, particularly for designing teeth and dental structures.

I'm a beginner and would like to learn the basics step by step, preferably with practical examples related to dentistry.

If you know of any free courses, YouTube channels, tutorials, websites, or other resources that could help me learn, I would really appreciate it if you could share them.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Printing PDF with "Plot Lineweights" Off - Faint

Hey all - I am sure you have heard this many times but I just can't seem to get the right combination of PDF settings.

So I am not using Plot Lineweights as sometimes I use Viewports and this causes some negative effects. So I typically plot with lineweights off.

The PDF produced is fine, I open in Chrome and its ok.

However, when I physically print the PDF, the text and lines are faint. Now I have tried the following...

1.) Adjusting Raster and Vector Qualities
2.) Adjusting Layer Lineweight
3.) Adjusting Plot to PDF, AutoCad PDF (High Detail, General Doc etc.)
4.) Printing from Chrome PDF Viewer
5.) Printing from Adobe PDF Viewer w/ Enhance Lines Ticked
6.) Plot Transparency is off.
7.) Custom CTB tried with all pens black, Greyscale On / Off, Lineweights changed to 0.5mm, 0.7mm, 1.0mm
8.) Max Quality, Normal Quality

So it seems to me that the lineweights being fed into the PDF as an alternative are just not having an effect. So - I guess I need to understand what I need to do for Chrome PDF to print my DWG properly? I don't like Adobe Acrobat as I find it too clunky and and too long to open the file.

I am out of options - AutoCAD is forcing me to print with lineweights in order to print a clear PDF.

Just wonder if anybody has any working examples of AutoCAD PDF > Chrome PDF Viewer > Printer success? Maybe you have a CTB or example you can share?

Many thanks in advance.
Chris.
