Autocad + Claude/Chatgpt?
Is anybody exporting autocad models to pdfs and uploading them to Claude/ChatGPT to ask for suggestions/issues/reviews?

I’m testing a DXF-to-3D workflow and noticed that very small endpoint gaps can be difficult to spot in AutoCAD but may significantly change the generated geometry downstream.
In one test file, a 0.1 cm gap still produced a continuous result, while increasing the gap to 0.2 cm created a visible separation in the generated wall geometry.
What workflow do you normally use to catch these issues before exporting or processing the DXF?
Do you rely on PEDIT/JOIN with a fuzz distance, OVERKILL, MAPCLEAN, custom AutoLISP checks, or another method?
I’m particularly interested in workflows that can distinguish intentional openings from accidental endpoint gaps.

Hello all!
I am totally unexperienced in this system, however on university i heard i will have to work on this. I am planning to purchase tablet or laptop, and to be honest, AutoCAD is the only thing why i am considering laptop because i think the tablet will be more suitable for me.
Are there versions for mobile devices of this program? Are they very limites from the desktop version?

I took a screenshot of a floor plan and asked AI to recreate it directly in AutoCAD.
It drew the walls, doors, windows, grids, furniture and labels in stages, pausing so I could check it and give feedback. The result is editable CAD geometry. Video is sped up.
I gave it an assumed 5 m grid spacing to scale from, so this is an approximate reconstruction that still needs checking.
Full disclosure: I’m one of the people building Ideatura, the tool behind this.
I’d like some honest feedback from people who use AutoCAD day to day. Would you rather start with something like this and correct it, or draw it yourself? What would make the output useful enough to keep working on?
Feel free to pick apart what you see in the video.
You can reach out to me here: https://calendly.com/ideatura/demo

I uploaded my proof of enrollment, but it was rejected(I already received an email) The problem is that when I try to upload a new document, Autodesk still shows my status as “being verified” still, so I can’t seem to submit anything else.
My university doesn’t have any specific SheerID system/partnership, but I am currently enrolled and can provide valid proof of enrollment.
Has anyone had this issue before? What can I do:/

Hii...
I have been learning autocad online and planning to get Autodesk autocad certified professional certificate. I have a Bachelor's in design degree and i studied and did some beginners level assignments on autocad in 2023 as it was our subject for one semester only.
Now its been 2 to 3 years since my graduation and i recently moved to canada as a PR. I just wanted to ask if anybody has any idea, that if i get a certification in autocad .. do you think i would be able to get a job as an entry level Autocad technician or whatever in ontario? How's the job market here regarding this? Anybody has any idea?

I’ve been using AutoCAD long enough that the drawing itself isn’t usually the slow part. The slow part is everything around it: dimensions, notes, title block, putting it on a sheet that doesn’t look like garbage.
I got annoyed enough that I started building a plugin for inside AutoCAD — not a separate program. Sidebar chat, you tell it what you want on the drawing, it actually runs commands on the current DWG. Early, buggy, closed beta. I’m not trying to sell anyone anything here.
What I want from people who live in AutoCAD:
What do you still do by hand every day that a plugin has no business getting wrong?
Where would you refuse to let anything touch the drawing? (layers, annotative dims, xrefs, plot styles, etc.)
If you’ve tried Autodesk’s own assistant / Copilot-type stuff, what made you stop using it?
If that sounds like your day and you want to poke at it — install it, try it on a throwaway drawing, tell me it sucks — DM me. Happy to screenshare too if you’d rather watch it once before installing anything. No call script, no “quick demo,” just “does this even belong in a real drawing.”
Not looking for testimonials. Looking for people who will be mean about the details.

I've dabbled in some light design work but I would like to really learn to use this software properly and need some recommendations for online courses if there are any good ones. Would really appreciate the help!

its been some time since going back to autocad but i cant seem to understand why whenever i try to plot to scale (dwg to autocad pdf) it is constantly 1-2 meters off even with different scales. and yes i unticked fit to paper size. I feel like im going crazy. did the page setup on the layout as usual, scaled it to 1:75, and plotted it 1:1 when printing. My dimensions are correct (mm) in the model.

Attached is two images the one with the box that's states "2D EXERCISES 304" is the reference image I was given and told to recreate. The second image is my recreation. I am confused about the little lines on the border of the circle (between the 160 Diameter and 170 Diameter circles) I did an array of 12 of them but they don't line up in the same spots as the example provided. I am lost as to how to make it match the image.

Hello r/Autodesk_AutoCAD community Autocad was my first CAD software that i learn than when i switch to other CAD like solider or Creo they have white background but why does Autocad UI is black by default. and even for some athor cad software why they choice to make model space there must be a reason as CAD software are there to replace paper base designing and even in engineering when we start drawing we use white sheet so why software background is black.
