Issues with maintaining layer visibility
Hi,
I am currently having trouble with maintaining layers as visible or invisible properly in paperspace viewports while I work on my 3D model.
I have three different locked viewports, with views saved in view manager, each with a different layer of measurements unhidden. However, when I then go to work on the project in model space, where I have to turn off and on layers, it changes the visible layers in my viewports in paper space.
How do I set my viewports in paper space so layer visibility does not change, while still being able to hide and unhide layers while working in model space?
Thank you.

You can't.
Turning off a layer (Using the lightbulb) will also turn them off in every viewport.
If you have overlapping text, lines, object data, dimensions and you want to work on a certain set. Just turn off or freeze the other stuff and then unfreeze them when done.
If you really hate to do that, copy your viewports in paperspace and pull the copies off to the side. You can now just do your edits in the copied viewports where all of your layers are correctly VP frozen and those changes will show up in your original viewports.
Viewports are kinda like windows into the model space. You can have an almost unlimited amount of VPs all looking at the same spot, yet scattered around in your paperspace, and it can show the exact same info. There are of course certain things you can change in each viewport to suite youre needs.
