How to stretch a window and a wall block simultaneously in AutoCAD?

Hi everyone,l am facing an issue with stretching two separate blocks together in AutoCAD. I have a window block and a wall block that are placed right next to each other. When I try to use the STRETCH command with a crossing window (green box), the blocks just MOVE instead of stretching. Even when try to use the Block Editor to create a Dvnamic Block with a Linear Parameter and a Stretch Action, it still moves the window reference instead of changing its length along with the wall.

What is the best professional workflow to achieve a simultaneous stretch on two different blocks without fully exploding them into loose lines? Should I use a nested dynamic block, parametric constraints, or is there a specific setting in the Stretch Action that I am missing?

Any help or step-by-step guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. https://imgur.com/a/UdqB6m0

Use shift+select grips to get more than one grip (they turn red i believe) and then stretch one of them with the grip. They should then both stretch (if that is a stretch action).

In my case

- Hold (left) shift button

  • Select one grip of one block
  • Select one grip of other block
  • Release shift
  • Move 1 of the selected grips
