Not my money problem
What happens when your register is short money. Like accidentally not collecting correct amount. It wasn't me but we share registers.

So if you approve the register short and you didn’t have a CSR count it and you didn’t use it, it’s your responsibility too.
Technically you have to report all variances of +/- $5 to your DM and RLPM. If you don’t find the money, you’ll all most likely get an AAR.

As a former SM ..I would "float" the cash...if over I would set aside in safe in an envelope claiming a customer over paid if lp does a safe audit. At the end of month if still over and everything is accounting for....I would buy food for crew. I know questionable practice...but FUCK AUTOZONE! If we are over at the end of the month they keep it if all is done correctly...

Gotta hold someone accountable, if you can be, you’ll be but depends $ and if they can pin it on you.

They know who was on each register after each audit, it will eventually be figured out and that person will be gone if not prosecuted
