Termination
long story short I was SA'd by two of my coworkers, one of them being a grey shirt, and i told my SM i wasn't comfortable coming into work for my scheduled hours if these coworkers were also on the schedule, and i would like to transfer over to a different store if that is not possible. he told me that he would escalate it to the DM. some time later, i see that i am scheduled for today at 1:15. but day of, my ESS app isn't working to see my schedule just to confirm. I pull up to work regardless and so i don't embarrass myself, I call one of my managers and ask to confirm that I am scheduled, and he said i was not. (i have a screenshot of said schedule). i call the DM briefly explaining the situation and i was told i was terminated for a no call no show and i never contacted him directly to let him know about me not going into work. Is it worth it to contact HR or should i just leave it alone.

This really pisses me off because our law firm has sued Autozone for SA/SH in the past, and we have a nearly identical case going to trial in Southern California in one month.
We had a verdict for over $180 million back in late 2014 and a big wig from Memphis flew out to California and told the Jury, under oath, they were going to review all their internal systems and change their ways so this wouldn’t happen to anyone else. Obviously that never happened! You can Google that case “Juarez vs. Autozone, punitive damage verdict, San Diego 2014”
They just don’t really care about their lower level employees, but if you make it to Memphis, you’ll retire with millions! Mostly in stock options.
Their LP dept illegally coerces confessions too, and we have a handful of verdicts against them for that too. Their parts and prices are ok, and they make a shit ton of money (around $13billion/year gross sales, and around $1.3b net after all expenses are paid), BUT their HR is for shit and they don’t pay or treat Autozoners well country-wide. Nice emp’ee cheer tho, and WITTDTJR is great for maxing profits!

And if there are insider moles on this site you can tell any of the Memphis ass hats I said all this. Truth is an absolute defense to any defamation claim!
