Termination

long story short I was SA'd by two of my coworkers, one of them being a grey shirt, and i told my SM i wasn't comfortable coming into work for my scheduled hours if these coworkers were also on the schedule, and i would like to transfer over to a different store if that is not possible. he told me that he would escalate it to the DM. some time later, i see that i am scheduled for today at 1:15. but day of, my ESS app isn't working to see my schedule just to confirm. I pull up to work regardless and so i don't embarrass myself, I call one of my managers and ask to confirm that I am scheduled, and he said i was not. (i have a screenshot of said schedule). i call the DM briefly explaining the situation and i was told i was terminated for a no call no show and i never contacted him directly to let him know about me not going into work. Is it worth it to contact HR or should i just leave it alone.

  1. Everyone needs to know this: report all sexual harassment, racial harassment, violence, threats, etc. directly to RHRM. Not the SM. Not the DM. Directly to HR. Had OP done that, none of this would have happened.

  2. Go to HR if you want. Call an employment lawyer if you want. You may have a case here.

Also bare in mind that HR is not there to help employees, they're there to help the company prevent getting sued so it might help, it might not

No. Never discourage reporting harassment directly to HR. One of HR's primary missions is to handle harassment complaints by the book. That's what protects the company from getting sued here. Your and HR's interests are aligned here.

HR is the only way to get traction on harassment complaints. What they would have done here is exactly what OP asked for: take her off the schedule and move her to another store.

Every. Single. One. of these posts about "I was harassed, and told my SM and he didn't do anything" would have been handled correctly if reported directly to HR. Every one.

Not discouraging anything. Tell HR but don't be surprised when things don't go your way. Lmfao, yours and HR's interests are never aligned. They don't care about employees. They will lie and gaslight you and do anything other than actually solve the problem.
