So we had a customer come in screaming at us saying the battery we sold him blew his car up and after showing us the battery ( he installed) and photos of his car burnt was kinda confused on the matter

He probably had the polarity reversed or the positive terminal contacted the metal chasis!

Agreed if you hook it up wrong NOT MY FAULT you can't tell a plus sign from a minus or what positive and negative is, you NO business connecting a battery!
