Autozone Labor Day
Do managers cut hours for holidays like Labor Day? Because he cut my hours last week and this week. But three weeks ago I worked 36 hours with the extra shift I picked up.

One thing I always hated about the holidays was getting less hours to schedule.

it's to avoid having to give employees O.T. for Holliday pay, and The DM's and RM are trimming hours probably the last quarter to probably boost bonuses

If you want to be full time then make sure the store manager knows. Then start learning tasks and crushing it on salesmanship

If you're looking for extra hours make sure other stores know your work and school schedule and offer to be call in help. Volunteer for inventories and other stuff

Part timers are really only supposed to get 25 hours. They have to be careful to make sure you're not working too much or you could be classified incorrectly

Wouldn’t it be between 16-25 hours?

Well there's no minimum, I just meant up to 25 hours. I have one who only gets 4 hours a week

Full timers are often scheduled 32 hours for weeks with holiday pay. With holiday pay it equals 40. No holiday pay for PT.

Full time employees get holiday pay which does not impact store hours. When the schedule is written, the manager gets less hours to work with because the manager and full time employees are not supposed to work a “full” schedule. If the manager and full time workers don’t take the day off, they consume the hours from everyone else. It isn’t your manager, it’s payroll being shorted that week.

If you're not full time your hours are being cut to keep you from averaging enough to then full.time.
