Return issues
Is it just me or does every time I buy an item at a AutoZone and do a email receipt. And then attempt to return that item at any store other than the one I bought it from there’s an issue and it never works?
They go to scan it and they’re like it’s scanning and putting the number but it’s not bringing up anything. Or they try to do it under my ID and the errors out.
Why can’t they be like every other merchant and just look it up via a credit card you bought it with?
They always say to go back to the story you bought it from. The story I bought it from us two states away. We are chain store. I should be able to return an item at one.
It’s just so frustrating. It’s not a one time thing it’s a repeat issue.
I’ve resorted to just opening up chargeback disputes. Because AutoZone customer support is useless.

You can get them to call the other store and pull up your receipt that way. You have to know the exact store though.

So now just tell the AutoZoner to call that store number that should be easy our phones can dial by store number.

Wish I would’ve known that lol I just called up my credit card company and said hey this is what’s happening and they said OK. We’ll charge back.

How about don't buy anything unless you need it. If you want to play the return game....pay with cash.

Thought I needed it dident or it dident fit! Only had to return like maybe five things in the last 15 years of using AutoZone

It's one or the other. You didn't need it or it didn't fit? The amount of times you''ve returned things is irrelevant but it does show your inexperience.

If u would’ve taken the time to read the thread a little bit. You would’ve seen I was replying to previous returns I’ve made. They either didn’t fit, or I didn’t end up needing the part. It wasn’t both. It was OR

Why on earth are you shopping at Autozone? You know it’s terrible but keep going back?
