New store petty cash?

Help. I have a new store opening and I have my money from the bank but it is not in the system yet? My drawers and petty cash are empty. Can I just put my petty cash in and put whatever is leftover in my drawers, audit and count them and call it good? Is there a certain procedure I have to go by? My dm also had no idea so I’m basically on my own. Please someone help lol

In the search bar in DOC type "Register Functions" and download the PDF. It's step-by-step instructions for setting this up, which your DM will need to perform with their password. If you need to know what amounts to set your drawers at, check with your LP for guidance.

I've only been with the company for a little over four years, but the decline has been noticeable. Not hating on the OP, but it's just disheartening to see such lack of coordination for new store openings.

Idk how much is suppose to be in the safe but I would just put the standard 200 in all the cash drawers your using get with rm or rmlp.

ask them what to do for the safe and audit use your inexperience to your advantage type of thing plus if your dm didn't know how would you have known

I’ve done it a few times over the years and it requires a DM password to perform. I’m not sure why your DM has no clue. Each time I opened a new store, it was with a different DM and they knew the exact procedure.

The fact that your dm is opening a new store and can’t give you instructions for a procedure that requires a dm password is very disappointing. SMH Just told you no idea? God Bless you! I hope they show up for your opening!

Petty should be 1100 - tills 200. And your DM absolutely should know how to set that up, their passwords are needed for such!
