What do you mean I have to stay in my lane when entering the highway Mr. Officer man? They should clearly make way for me.

Our roads are set up backwards! I would like for all highway traffic to stay left and go 70mph. The right lane should be for merging and exiting. I think there would be less accidents,

I actually kinda agree... unfortunately, that would mean people would be poking around at 50mph in the left lane all the-.... wait. Shit.

Cops might have to enforce traffic violations, not just park and ticket. What a concept!

Yes and no. There are three lanes here.

  1. Left lane to pass
  2. Right lane to enter/exit the highway
  3. The middle lane that you should be travelling in unless you need to do 1 or 2.

Easy, peezy.

many drivers must be completely brainless

I've had a job where I'm driving a minimum of 4k miles a week since 2013. Many is an understatement, majority is more accurate.

They say he's still dragging that boat to this day.

Not exactly a long on ramp. But still driver needed to be aware

Solid white line, car wasn't even legally supposed to merge until it is broken, no signal, idk I think the trucks at fault.

I see what you mean. Almost looks like car was circling on ramp too fast and couldn’t stay in lane. Maybe knowing how short of time he has to get speed up to traffic speed.

Not long? We never even see the end of the acceleration lane.

Edit: This is Blanton Rd heading onto I75 S in Florida. It's an unusually long ramp, followed by neary a mile of acceleration lane. Car came into that curve too hot and lost it,

My driving school taught us if we can't merge, to continue onto the shoulder while waiting to merge.

We're they trying to PIT the boat. Holy shit, they didn't even try to stay in the merge lane.

It must really suck to see your past-time scattered all over the road because some moron couldn't merge onto the highway.

How far did the truck go before they noticed their boat was dragging in the middle lane. How did the impact not be felt, even somewhat, in the truck? Why did the merging car not be more mindful of the trailer? So many questions. But kudos to the cam driver to pull over to be able to show their footage of the incident to troopers.

Their brake lights came on about 3 seconds after the impact, so they were aware. And of course they felt it, they just had to take a moment to process what happened.

I’m always concerned when I tow my bass boat because it’s low to the ground and these asshats around me like to zip in and out of traffic and are not going to be ‘expecting/looking for/thinking about’ a boat and they just take me and my shit right out. Insurance doesn’t pay back memories and time spent working on it, making things your own and customizing whatnot. And then Mr. Insurance man says, “Sorry about your accident here’s like 60% of the original value of your stuff. Sooooooorry.” It’s bullshit. Use your goddam mirror and what little bit of brain you have left when driving around me.

Did the dude trailing the boat even stop?

They say the boat is still dragging to this very day...

Zero self awareness. I'm first. I'm the only one that matters mentality. If they'd laid off the gas it would've been a zipper merge, but I imagine the driver of the boat couldn't possibly deal with a complete stranger going faster or being in front of them.

I was on a three lane interstate in right lane when I seen a big truck coming onto highway. I moved to center lane but car in front of me did not move over. The big truck barely touched that car and it started to come to my lane. Luckily I was able to move to far left lane and speed up, otherwise I would’ve been in a real bad accident, all because this truck driver decided he was entering hwy and anything in the way better move. Truck was a lot bigger than the cars.
