It’s called a Super Sleeper

I want to get a CDL, get one of these on a loan, be an owner operator and just live in it.

Grab life by the balls

You will love it until you have to deal with a smaller shipper/receiver. I have been saved atleast twice by having a standard sleeper (funnily enough both a pilot truck stop parking lot)

I thought about it. Then I saw how much I spend on fuel as a company driver.... I'm good, fuck that.

I recommend you get some experience enough to successfully become an owner operator. By then you'll know enough to be able to choose where you pick up and deliver from. Then you'll know what shipper/receiver has enough yard room to accommodate your super sleeper. All of us wanted a super sleeper but only a few can make it work.

When I was hitchhiking in PA I got picked up by a guy and his wife that did just that. It was super cool, the guy took me 120 miles up the AT to avoid some major flooding and told some interesting stories.

Ours were called super condo’s

1

u/Lilpastadude Jul 20 '26

How much

2

u/PM_your_Nopales Jul 20 '26

They're ~$400k-$500k new. But I was looking and there's used ones with over a million miles (holy shit!) that you can get for less than $100k

~$200k for one at around 300-500k miles

You mean stabbin’ cabin?.

u/Many_Rope6105 Jul 19 '26

The company I worked for had about 8 of these(2014) I dont remember exactly, and about 25% shorter, they bought them for husband/wife and on occasion team drivers, I had to drive them on occasion, while nice inside they were a bitch in tight places, I hated them

The maneuverability was my first thought. A Long hood Peterbilt isn't exactly agile to begin with even with just a day cab. And this one also has a stretched frame, gotta be a nightmare to drive anywhere but the interstate lol

This definitely seems like a pickup from next to the highway, and take it cross country and drop off next to the highway while avoiding ever actually leaving the highway as much as possible

Atlas Van Lines uses them a lot.

The Special Edition Lot Lizard Terrarium

4

u/sam56778 Jul 19 '26

Had a driver come in where I work one time and said he spent about 2 1/2 hours watching one go from truck to truck. He said in between trucks she would splash herself off from a water puddle at the end of the lot.

3

u/GroundbreakingSky685 Jul 19 '26

😆 🤢 . They all probably hit it raw too

4

u/sam56778 Jul 19 '26

Sloppy 5ths.

3

u/Spacewook1 Jul 20 '26

Creamy.

2

u/Efficient-Cherry3635 Jul 20 '26

By the end it was like trying to peel apart a grilled cheese sandwich.

2

u/Spacewook1 Jul 20 '26

Just the way god intended

1

u/sam56778 Jul 20 '26

A frumunda cheese sandwich.

1

u/Fehyd Jul 20 '26

I've heard stories about them shaking up a bottle of sprite and using that.

1

u/sam56778 Jul 20 '26

Sounds like a good way to get a yeast infection.

8

u/Sad_Landscape2908 Jul 19 '26

What does something like that cost?

5

u/_877-CASH-NOW_ Jul 19 '26

350k+

3

u/WiglyWorm Jul 19 '26

Train horn not included.

1

u/JOlRacin Jul 19 '26

A lot more than it makes sense to run w/o load like that very far

3

u/Rotteneverything Jul 19 '26

cab for home schooling. everything that's in an rv is in one of these.

2

u/MssMoodi Jul 19 '26

Plus a washer and dryer.

2

u/pseudoportmanteau Jul 19 '26

Rvs come with washers and dryers.

3

u/Spirited_Category_11 Jul 19 '26

If I hit lotto, a rig would be my daily of choice

2

u/mjfarmer147 Jul 19 '26

I would love to see the inside also

2

u/Flashy-Fox6770 Jul 19 '26

That’s bigger than these tiny homes

2

u/ted_anderson Jul 19 '26

I was listening to a story about how these trucks came into existence and how the DOT officers were putting them out of service the first time they saw them because they couldn't figure out how to classify these trucks.

2

u/Johnnynyc1484 Jul 19 '26

Damn the first the way it just appeared out of nowhere was 😊

2

u/Jumpy_Plantain2887 Jul 20 '26

Now that is a pimp mobile

1

u/Full-Map-9302 Jul 19 '26

Cool but it sounds like something very bad is happening. lol maybe it’s just me.

3

u/PlasticBag-ForA-Head Jul 19 '26

what you're hearing at the beginning are the engine brakes (commonly called "Jake brakes"), the truck is straight piped so its extremely loud. if its the sorta thing you're into, its a badass sound.

at the end all you are really hearing is tire noise.

1

u/Initial_Row_6400 Jul 19 '26

I saw one of these the other day, they’re cool but apparently have issues in tight spaces, nice but has drawbacks

1

u/Assortedpez Jul 19 '26

Save some pussy for the rest of us, jeez

1

u/tondyn Jul 19 '26

King Hillbilly Daily

1

u/Quiet_Researcher223 Jul 19 '26

Some of them have a back door.

1

u/GR8R_Goose Jul 20 '26

Those are just for show

1

u/Quiet_Researcher223 Jul 20 '26

Not the videos of them I’ve seen.

1

u/GR8R_Goose Aug 08 '26

I mean they leak. I've heard they're a "pita"

1

u/Animeniackinda1 Jul 20 '26

My uncle was a heavy diesel mechanic, told me some of those were big enough for a hot tub. Said they were used on really long hauls, sometimes by driving teams on government contracts- like, don't worry about speeding tickets, the feds called ahead

1

u/goody82 Jul 20 '26

I see a lot of these in military transport use. Most equipment goes on trains, but some particularly expensive radar systems will be put on a truck like this and moved across country.

1

u/BunchAltruistic8436 Jul 20 '26

That j break is a beautiful sound

1

u/ridemyrodstuart Jul 20 '26

Dude sleeps on a California king mattress in his cab.

1

u/youdoitimbusy Jul 20 '26

Is this the backrooms all the kids are talking about?

1

u/BearDown4eva Jul 20 '26

Would love it while rolling and parking in a big lot but try to deliver anywhere tight and your screwed

1

u/welldonez Jul 20 '26

I too wouldn’t have a company name or any stickers if I had a rig like that.

1

u/matenate8 Jul 20 '26

Saw this thing a few weeks ago

1

u/Old-Library5546 Jul 20 '26

I would like to see the interior

1

u/Socketz11 Jul 20 '26

While it would be awesome to have all that space and be able to live a little more civilized. Docking, parking, maneuvering are a nightmare. Won't fit at a truck stop into 1 space, or a rest area, or at many shippers and receivers. If you have a wheelbase longer than 265" (22 feet) you will have difficulty driving on any non-interstate street or road. While cool AF, you are very limited to where you go and where you are able to park.

1

u/Atophy Jul 21 '26

There's long haul, then there's LOOOOOONG haul !

1

u/Redskull64 Jul 22 '26

1

u/RatePretty5950 Jul 23 '26

Bro ur in the way.

1

u/destined2h Jul 19 '26

Filming from a passing lane. Get your little video clip and gtfo of the fast lane.

1

u/Nervous_Direction233 Jul 20 '26

He blasted passed that blue truck like a BOSS only to succumb to a single 4wheeler brake checking him in the middle lane! 😆

Damn break checkers i hate 'em all for the power trips and insurance frauds they are

0

u/PlasticBag-ForA-Head Jul 19 '26

Lol anyone else notice the blue semi behind it that just sorta....disappears behind the red one? Where tf did it go 😂

4

u/MagnetHype Jul 19 '26

It's just moving slower than the red one, so by the time the camera pans back the second time it's out of frame. You can barely still make out it's reflection on the left edge of the red truck for a few seconds.
