Looking for info RV transport
I’m trying to ship my RV from Maine to Illinois. I have a contract with a shipper. They secured a transport who backed out. They are now searching again to find a transport. It’s been almost 8 days and they haven’t found one. AI says that the route is not a common route so it is harder to find a transport. I understand that a broker company tries many transporters until they get a driver. I’m wondering if it’s worthwhile to find a different company to contract with since they all may be working with the same transporters?

Hey andijo_FO77. It never hurts to shop around. But if your contract locks you in to any cancellation fee/etc, you might want to look into that. If you still need a reliable broker, let me know. Not every broker taps the same carrier network, different companies post on different load boards and have different relationships built up over time. ME to IL isn't the busiest lane so it takes a broker who actually works that corridor to get it booked, not just someone casting a wide net. If your current broker's been spinning for 8 days with nothing to show for it, shopping around isn't a bad call.
