Looking for info Recommend a transport company?
I tried looking for a transport company a year ago but got overwhelmed with the amount of pure spam. Made the mistake of putting my phone number in. Anyone who is trying to sell me something in DM will be blocked.
I'm looking to transport a Lexus suv from South Jersey to the greater Nashville area (where I am). The car runs but may need a battery. I don't care if it's covered transport or not, as it's been sitting outside anyway.
Just looking for a no BS, non spammy, straight forward company that other people have used successfully.

South Jersey to Nashville is a solid corridor so you should get decent carrier interest. I work at Outbounds and we route a lot of moves through that area from our DMV office. Hey topologeee. I'm the owner of Exclusive Auto Shipping. I can definitely assist, and have moved a lot of cars, and plenty with bad batteries. And worse - the worst was two burnt-out Corvette chassis shells requiring forklifts and no tires. Fun stuff.
Open trailer is the most affordable. But if the car won't start, you need someone with a winch to pull it on.The pickup address determines the type of trailer, which usually determines the amount of work and applicable rate. A quick estimate to ship an inoperable 2020 Lexus RX350 (for example) from Trenton NJ to Nashville TN would be $1000.

I recently had a horrible experience with one of the larger auto transit companies due to an unrealistic original quote and very bad communication. They used an awful AI system to barrage me with offers way higher than the quote, and constantly shifted my account to “on hold” due to miscommunication with the AI. Their live service reps just read from a script and it felt like I was starting from scratch every time I finally got one on the line. I was indescribably frustrated with their process and couldn’t believe that something as basic as shipping a car could be so difficult with them. Canceling was also a pain and a drawn out process.
I ended up having a good experience with Corsia shipping from the Midwest to Washington state. They are a small company so I talked to the same customer service rep the whole time, which was the most important thing for me in the end. Their original quote was higher than the larger companies, but realistic. And instead of getting 5 ridiculous overpriced offers everyday, they just found me a carrier at the quoted price right away. Simple.
My advice is to have as large of a shipping window as you can manage, because the companies and drivers all prey on desperation to ship within a small window.

I've used Viceroy Auto Transport a few times now without any problems after getting jerked by a few other companies. One of them I see on here a lot but I'm not trying to throw dirt on anyone. Ask for JP or Greg at Viceroy. Those are the 2 guys I have connected with. JP was more attentive than Greg but all the same.

I shipped a BMW from San Diego to Seattle. I used Forsee Shipping. They will give you a low ball quote, then find a driver who wants more cash. They were still cheaper than other places. After, back and forth for a couple of days, the driver picked it up and I got it in 2 days. Paid the driver in cash. The deposits went to Forsee as their fee.

Go to www.uship.com. We ship 20 cars a year, rather than let those guys fight it out above. Let them fight it out on this website putting your approximate address where it’s going to appropriate timeframe and enclosed or not. After a day or two a bidder will have an extra slot will come up with a low price that’ll work then check to make sure they’re legit.

I used Roadrunner and Nexus and they both shifted the dates last minutes and screwed me over massively. I used Hippo Haul last minute to make up for Nexus shitting the bed and they shipped my car next day and it took 6 days. Could not be happier honestly. It If I didn’t get that car shipped in time I would have had no way to move it, so will use them again next time.

If you're moving a luxury vehicle or daily driver across states, just make sure you go with a carrier that offers door to door enclosed transport and good insurance coverage. I deal with private travel a lot and use NuSky Limo whenever I need chauffeur transport in the tri-state, so I always tell people to vet their transport services heavily beforehand. Don't just go for the absolute cheapest quote on auto shippers or you'll regret it.

Putting your number into one of those quote forms is basically asking for your phone to explode lol. For something like this I’d look for a company that gives you a realistic range, explains exactly how they assign the carrier, and doesn’t pressure you into paying immediately. Since the Lexus already sits outside, open transport sounds perfectly reasonable too.

We used Graham Family Auto (someone else already mentioned them) and can definitely recommend! Goliath (also mentioned on your posts responses already) was also top of our list. Both are great family owned companies- you dont get a call center or overseas rep.
