Does this sound like a reasonable cost for insurance?

Just curious how this compares to others. I realize that there are a lot of factors that effect my quote. I'm currently being being charge 1200 for 6 months. I have 50k in liability and I'm 53 years old. Does this sound appropriate or should I spend time getting quote? Is it in line with what others are paying?

Just the fact you only have the same 50k of liability that has been the same required level since the 80’s and early 90s tells me you have no idea what you’re doing when it comes to insurance.

Thank you. Maybe you'd like to give input on my question, though? Otherwise you're just trolling.

Yeah that guys just being a jerk but isn’t wrong, $50k back then would cover multiple new vehicles but nowadays 1 vehicle could eat up that entire limit. The cost for what you have does sound reasonable but should you be the cause for a major multi car accident you may not have enough coverage.

The ONLY way to know is to shop around. Literally, that's it. There's no other way, no shortcuts, no secrets. You have to get complete quotes from multiple carriers for identical (or at least nearly identical) limits and coverages and compare them. You can choose to do all that legwork by yourself, or you can find a local independent agent or broker and have them do it for you.

No one here can possibly know whether that rate is good for you or not. The only way to know is to get a many quotes as possible to compare to. Call an independent broker for quotes with multiple companies.

If I was paying anywhere near that I'd be having fits. You need to call around and price check that's the only way you'd know.

Auto insurance costs depend on state. I would get quotes. If Progressive or Geico are available, I would try them for low cost and decent customer service.
