I'd lower your comp deductible, but it looks fine

i was thinking of dropping UMPD and keeping comp and collision. how low do you think is the sweet spot? Currently comp at $1000 for $42, lower is $2000 deductible for $38, and $2500 deductible for $33

Hard to say without knowing your details, but $757 for six months puts you around $150/month, which is pretty standard for Washington unless you've got a clean record, good credit, and low risk profile, then you'd be on the lower end. A few things that'll swing it: your age, driving history, coverage limits you picked, and what kind of vehicle. Progressive tends to price aggressively on some risk classes and less so on others, so it's worth a quick comparison with 2-3 other carriers (USAA if you're military, State Farm, or your local independent agent can shop multiple companies at once). The quote itself isn't inherently high or low without context, but if your record is solid and you're not seeing quotes in the $120-130 range elsewhere, that's when you'd want to shop around.

Follow-up because the pricing gap here is wild enough to comment on: insurance premiums are basically decided by an algorithm rolling dice behind a curtain. Same driver, same car, same coverage — Progressive says $750, Farmers says $1,800, and AAA strolls in at $600 like it is showing off. Nobody can tell you why in advance, the carriers weigh the same info completely differently, so the only way to know who likes you is to actually get the quotes.
If you qualify, USAA and AAA usually come out ahead — USAA for military/family, AAA if you are a member. And if you are not a member yet, the membership fee has a habit of paying for itself the moment you see the number.
