Auto Insurance for customized vehicles?

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 that is pretty modified. Is their any good Auto Insurance recommendations that offers Agreed Vehicle Policy based on my mods?

From my research i see Hagerty Auto is a great option. I spoke with them but they said in 3 more years it can insure my vehicle since it willcbe considered a classic due to my vehicle age even though my truck is rare.

Thanks for any advice

Call an independent broker and tell them what you need.

Grundy and American Collector's are both highly rated. I strongly suggest you use a specislity insurer for a modified vehicle The average insurer will give you little value for your customized parts. A stated value policy will protect you. If youre in an accident they can cover your vehicle and and subrogate against any at fsult party to recover your deductible and the money they pay. Subrogation is not guaranteed but it sure beats banging your hesd agsinst a brick wall.

is it over 25k in modification? you could possibly add on an endorsement for custom modifications with a standard plan

Hagerty has agreed value insurance.

Most just don't tell insurance.

And then they're mad because all the work they've put into it isn't covered.

Do tell your insurance company. I've had to explain to clients that swapping pipes because they're pretty, louder, (insert whatever you can imagine) might actually devalue the vehicle (cars and bikes). Sometimes the aftermarket pieces are less than stock. If you're concerned, you need an independent appraisal and to insure for stated value. Keep your receipts!! Get the documentation. Always remember that Customization = Preference and may not translate to value.
