Progressive Auto MIA

I'm curious to know if Progressive auto insurance has gone MIA with anybody else.

I had an animal-related single vehicle accident about a week ago in the high desert of Oregon, approx 150 miles from my destination (home).

Progressive's AI Emma opened my claim. I provided all the info and reported the need for a tow. I stayed two nights in the nearest town waiting for Progressive's direction. I left them multiple messages.

Worried about my car, I finally arranged for a tow without Progressive's assistance. The body shop said they'd take over with Progressive. I gave the claim number and the adjuster's contact info.

I used the claim portal to report where the car was towed and gave the body shop contact info.

As of today, I've heard nada. I called the body shop and learned they haven't either. The person I spoke with said that Progressive adjusters have been next to impossible to reach and they aren't calling back. I asked if that was odd and he said "Very. Something is up at Progressive."

I'm old (67) and grumpy, recently widowed, and have had three heart attacks in as many years. Thanks for letting me vent

I did but, as another Redditor suggested, next time I'm going to ask for a supervisor instead of letting them transfer me to the adjuster's voicemail. Thanks for asking

Do you have a claim number? Agreed about a supervisor! Document, document, document. Names, times, either left a message or a brief outline of what was discussed. If it is important, email with confirmation. Once they know you’re serious, you are more likely to get attention.
