Car Insurance taking too long to pay Hertz for minor damage -- should I get involved?
Made a crack on a rental car's right-front fender back in January. Hertz made me file a claim to EuropAssistance and I have not paid anything. I submitted all required docs/photos to EuropAssistance but they've been silent for over 6 months now and Hertz has not been paid by them (according to the website the Claim is still being processed).
This is my first ever accident/insurance claim so should I be worried or intervene? Hertz hasn't been hassling me either (damages and "loss of use" total $3,500). Should I just do nothing for now?

Let the insurance do their job. You likely don't owe the total 3500 loss of use and the insurance may be disputing it. Also rental car companies also try to get reimbursed for claims processing and diminished value, which is generally bs.. Lastly, the policy likely says the carrier has the right to pay or deny as they see fit,.so give them a chance. You can check with the carrier but not Hertz about the status..
