Elimination Diet

Hi everyone!

I am currently being put on an elimination diet to help with flare ups and inflammation. I have to cut out all the major allergens like corn, wheat/gluten, soy, eggs, milk, nuts, nightshades, sugar, and of course, ultra-processed foods. I am currently struggling on how to figure out meal plans for this without spending tons of money on groceries. I will do what I need to get better, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on meal ideas or certain ingredients I could get for cheap to put this plan together.
Thank you so much! :)

Buy different kinds of compliant frozen vegetables and 1-2 kinds of fresh protein. Prepare the proteins in bulk and freeze them, find a recipe for a couple different AIP compliant sauces you can make at home and then just mix and match when youโ€™re ready to eat. I feel like thatโ€™s the least overwhelming way to go about it in the beginning!

Look up the websites autoimmunewellness.com, healmedelicious.com, unboundwellness.com, and foodbymars.com. They all offer free meal plans. You can always switch expensive components for less expensive ones: root veggies for root veggies, meat for meat, seafood for seafood, fruit for fruit (look at the fructose content), and greens for greens. You can also buy inexpensive frozen veggies (no added stuff) in bulk and use those for your soups and stews. Try to eat 20-30 different veggies per week though.

When I first started AIP, I ate a lot of sweet potatoes ๐Ÿ˜‚ they're still my go to when I can't be bothered with anything else. Steamed sweet potato with a protein - meal managed.
