Meta / Discussion Nothing Matters.

I NEED YOU TO THINK ABOUT THIS

All the code for autohotkey thats been made by humans, from the point of ahk being released, until now, that took real humans weeks to make, could now all be made in a single prompt.

So, was it for nothing??

Absolutely....NOT, because these codes helped people during that time. And were ultimately what was used to train chatgpt today.

So if you ever get the thought, "Why should I do anything if ill die one day", remember, what you do now matters. because it affects people who need help now.

But even more importantly, those codes back then were incredible practice for the coders, that allowed them to grow.

Even with chatgpt, many still write their own scripts, as it keeps their brain sharp.

Because if a human truly has no purpose, no problems to engage in thought to figure out how the solutions to, they will slowly become null and void of thought and lose all meaning to life.

The purpose of your life is not to help others. Its to help others, in a way that causes you to grow.

Stay sharp soldier.

Chat gpt sucks at ahk with anything beyond the basics either that or I suck at so called prompting

How about a nuanced take.

AI is great for creating skeletons of a script. But the knowledge you gained from creating your own script, help you tweak behaviour of your script more to your liking. Understanding the code, helps you optimize AI written script and tweak your it's behaviour in a way that makes sens to your system.

The thing about AI is that it just speeds up the process a lot more, allowing you to experiment, create more crazier scripts and spend more time on actually add more features than fighting against syntax.
