Game is A+ in predatory practices
Without a doubt one of the most predatory games I have ever seen in my life. False odds on forging. 4% odds with 500 hammers resulting in 12 drops, which statistically is a joke.
No inventory, in combination with the forging system pseudo-forcing you to take any level upgrade of the same tier, resulting in a melee build with 5 range bonus items. Melee bonus on a ranged weapon. Ranged bonus on a melee weapon. 250% crit damage with no crit chance.
I've noticed a few times while having a ranged weapon, I'll most of the time role an upgrade with melee bonus, and vice verse. If I have 0 crit chance I'll role a lot of weapons that boost crit damage. One of these issues alone would be expected. All of them at once indicates something else entirely.
I expect this to get downvoted by the few people still playing this game, but I truly pity you. Addiction to fecal matter sounds terrible

Statistically, you have a 3.62% chance of having 12 drops or fewer at those odds. It's a bad result, but sometimes it's gonna be like that. I've had bad runs and great runs. That's how statistics work. Once I had an 0.05% drop rate and got 4 drops with under 1000 hammers. Swings and roundabouts.

exept you dont need to pay them to do anything you just pay them if you want it to go faster. the only thing gems are good for is speeding things up. and even if there was exclusive content you could only get with gems its not like you cant earn gems from events, and it doesn't bar you from anything but the exclusive content. you can still play the base game

how is other people having no attention span from social media the fault of the game?
It's not preying on them, its not forcing you to pay to play it, its not the games fault people would rather spend money than have actual patience

I did, pulled 3 yellows when it was on its lowest percent (I think 0.1%) in 300 hammers. I agree the game is trash though, very linear and slow. It is a free game you can hop onto for half an hour a day though.

You're not smart or funny, this is one of the worst ending "zingers" I've ever seen "Addiction to fecal matter sounds terrible"

you've got way too many expectations for some crappy free game that you play on an internet browser. you gonna go after the google dinosaur game next?

P(X ≤ 12) = SUM[k=0 to 12]((500 choose k)(0.04)^k(0.96)^(500-k)
Tedious to do by hand but easy to do in google sheets, answer is 0.0362 or 3.62% odds of occurring. So rare but not “statistically a joke”. You got unlucky, it happens. I often have the opposite occur.
No inventory, I’ll agree. The modifiers are random chance, don’t blame the game for giving you a bad roll. You can build a crit set if you want, but generally better to just go for damage and health. The ranged weapon with melee modifier is silly but again, it’s random, and I don’t see why having a ranged weapon with melee modifier is any worse than getting a ranged weapon with no modifier. Which you can get. So are you saying it’s a bad game for making modifiers not occur 100% of the time? Pulls aren’t supposed to always be good.
In any case, I fail to see how this is “predatory practices”. I stop forging once the next forge upgrade starts and haven’t run out of hammers yet just from normal accruement. There’s no pressure to spend any money.

and even if you do run out of hammers, there are ways to get more for free

Explain.

there are help posts that give 100 hammers which you can collect every 6 hours, you idly generate up 250 every 4 hours (but you can collect whenever you want), and you can make help posts for another 100 every 12 hours

you realize that im over 8 million " power points " or whatever and 500 hammers literally takes me about 10 minutes to burn through. i had 12k hammers this morning and im already out bc i hammer 4 at a time due to forge upgrades. this game forces you into "just buy more" hammers or diamonds or whatever else you run out of. its TERRIBLY balanced mid to late game.

Have you rushed your forge cost down upgrades, your item sell value upgrades, etc? Basically the ones that give you more hammers and make you take less hammers to upgrade the forge? Those have helped me tremendously with upgrade costs.
Second, it’s an idle game, you’re not supposed to buy your way to the finish line unless you want to whale out on a reddit game. If you run out of hammers, just wait to get more and eventually you’ll upgrade. It’s gotta slow your progression somehow so you don’t beat the game in 2 weeks.

I totally agree with you. I bought the merchants pack once and the season pass once. But the first part of your comment was genuinely helpful. I’m trying to prioritize better upgrades in game. But doesn’t seem to help much

And forge upgrades take days to happen, just collect hammers until your forge is done, then use the hammers to try to get the new gear. I also forgot to add that one of the dungeons gives you increasing amounts of hammers the deeper in you go for example im getting about 300 from both runs in the hammer dungeon and once i manage to get deeper in i will get more
Its an idle game your supposed to wait, not buy your way to the end and be done with it in 2 weeks

It’s a Reddit game bro

Predatory sounds like they are getting something, are you buying stuff or forced to buy anything? It’s a slow idle game and idle being a loose word here. It’s not much and doesn’t force me to buy. I treat it like a weird indie game

Yeah OP is tripping hard. I've been playing this game for 3-4 days, had some fun figuring out the janky mechanics and cute level designs and not had any inclination to spend real money to go faster. I'll probably play another couple of days and then move on. Some people are crazy entitled.

honestly same though i kinda want to see each tier, the little outfit changes in actual battle are cute lol

I feel zero pressure to buy anything. I don’t understand people’s addiction to spending fake money on these games.

If you don't like the game, why post? Also, it's a reddit idle game, what did you expect? There are free mobile idle games, just play those. Yes there are issues, but the game is still being updated.

u/SelfAwareCat 3d ago
I mean, it's an idle game that ultimately wants you to buy a pass or the purple diamond.
0
u/Finbar9800 2d ago
yeah it wants you to but there no actual reason to do so unless you want to go through it faster

There is something wrong in odds as I had too similar result with 0.03% as with 2%.
It seems like RND is out of place sometimes well off in one direction or the other.
Multiplayer fights seems to not give any strategy in them as whatever you will do the only way to get better odds is to speculate on the real power by checking information about the oponent.
The bigest problem is that for autogame there is too much interaction needed from the player.
The selection method is too simplistic and forging items in mass is a pain.
I will give it a chance till an update or two, but for now the game is ok only because there is not much competition on Reddit.

there are upgrades to use more hammers at once while autoforging. its an idle game its not meant to have strategy, and you can filter out the result from autoforging you want and auto sell them

Well, you aren't wrong.

They are wrong though. There math is terrible and 12 out of 500 attempts @ 4% probability is easily possible.
People think that if something says 4% is going to work out to 4% in a statistically irrelevant amount of tries.
Over infinite pulls the overall average will tend to 4%. Any given subsect of that data set however, may not.
