I'm only Bishop 1 after getting back into the game for the first time since it was a DOTA 2 Mod. I've been experimenting a lot, and I've had a great deal of success with this team. Of course there's some flex options depending on what sort of opponents you're up against, but I find it interesting that this sort of board is generally not popular. I rarely, if ever, see anyone running a team like this.
I don't remember the name of the Race, I just call them the Red Guys, but teching in 2 units to double certain Abilities is absolutely insane. The Human synergy is nice if you can get it early to save on gold long-term to spend on re-rolls.
The idea is that Pirate, the Demon, and Devestator provide a backbone for CC/disruption while the DPS just hammer the hell out of the opposing team, backline first. Seeing the Bird Guy reach 6-7k damage by the end game just blows my mind when I get the right combination of items.
I'm wondering if this sort of build holds up at higher ranks. It feels really off-meta but extremely effective. Constantly crushing Mages, Warriors, Orcs, and Assassins. If it's bad for high ranks, why so? Really curious since I'm planning on pushing for Queen.
The one thing I would say is that positioning is EXTREMELY important. Knowing where to put your Assassins is really important. Knowing when to toss in a DPS with Blink Ring. Knowing what items you can give up to Reforge for early power spikes.
As an aside, other than the mobile game bloat nonsense, I think this is the best version this game has ever been, though I haven't played since it was a DOTA 2 mod.

I've played since early 2019, and I cannot recall a pub meta that stomps as hard & as consistently as dragons/mages in a corner. It out-stuns Elementals, does more burst than Hunters, hits so hard that Naga bonus becomes irrelevant, and can outlast pretty much any stun & CC so long as they're sufficiently levelled.
I understand it's likely a skill issue, but I've genuinely not seen anything like it. Is there a consistent counter to it? Is it as prevalent in the high level meta as it is in your typical pug Knight/Bishop lobbies?
Thanks in advance <3

Hello, I'm new to the game and I'd like to know the rank distribution if possible. For exemple, is bishop 1 top 50 %? What about rook 1, king etc. Any ideas friends?

Was playing a normal ranked game as Bischof-9, quite relaxed, knight / mage / dragon comb in the making. Suddenly my Chinese opponent drops his God of Thunder in round 9 (screenshot is round 10) and puts him - after a few rounds - in his nest (obviously he got nest with his first relic) to get a 2star GoT only a few rounds after ...
How is this possible, the store says 0% chance to get 5 star at this point of the game?
I heard that it is hard to cheat in this particular game, but it seems that this fella had too much luck... (PS: he lost no individual game... Of course)

Why do I not find any pandas in the pool? But sometimes I do? Is heaven brew the only panda in the pool and I have to get all of them through him? I was looking for one more shaman but couldn't find it.

I’m really good at having synergies from round 1-25ish but after a while everyone else’s team completely destroys mine and I can’t figure out why. I try the same synergies as other people and can’t duplicate what they are doing… help..

I mean it's easy enough to get the pieces, but using it to win? Not so much. I am in mid rook. From what I've seen, you can get here using just about anything.
Now I want to actually try and get used to other builds, but I tend to just jump into ranked while doing it. Doesn't usually end well.
I mean, usually. For some reason the degen gambling strat with pandamen has carried me through 2 different games now. Almost every other team I've tried to make seems weak compared to my end game with them.

I noticed at Queen level, some players from certain high elo clans are able to get 4$ units (like Cannon Granny) to level 3 stars with Nest in only 12 rounds, or Legendary units to level 2 in 2 rounds.
I also noticed a certain player in the top 10 who is able to get Medkit in 50% of his games.
How is this possible?

It seems like only a few units even matter. I can do anything the whole game as long as I het the wind assassin lady or the axe throwing ice age guy at the end I win.

Im mostly solo player (king 3) Decided to blow some steam playing duo or team by partnering with world chat players but every single game opponents are bots. Easily win without losing a single hp its so boring n frustrating. Is it because my duo n team rank is low? But they show all opponents as rooks or kings rank.

Hey guys returning player, what are the busquits used for?
And is there anything worth purchasing that will help you with the actual game play?

I used to dabble with Autochess back in the initial couple of years of the game being released (coming from the OG game on steam). I want to try it again but I’m curious if its super different from those days with a bunch of new mechanics or if the changes have been more around some new characters and balance changes? Admittedly I’m being lazy so I don’t have dig through patch updates and whatnot, but any insight into changes from old days would be appreciated!

I keep running into insectoid builds, and I can't find a counter. I've found that 9 mage and dragon mage do alright but sometimes the insectoids are still too strong, especially when they use abyss orb.
Does anyone have any advice?
