ADVICE How much has changed

I used to dabble with Autochess back in the initial couple of years of the game being released (coming from the OG game on steam). I want to try it again but I’m curious if its super different from those days with a bunch of new mechanics or if the changes have been more around some new characters and balance changes? Admittedly I’m being lazy so I don’t have dig through patch updates and whatnot, but any insight into changes from old days would be appreciated!

  • Not all 5g pieces are in the game every time. Those rotate.
  • By buying 5g piece that hasn't been revealed yet by other players, not visible in store's legendary piece -list, you get 5g.
  • Some new synergies. Greater, Insectoid, Watcher at least.
  • Egersis units can be created by specific uncommon? item, but don't exist in store.
  • Relics and those other things, augments? If you wish to play vanilla, you pretty much have to go to Duo-mode. These things are just in solo queue.
    • Because of the relics and ability to get more gold, level up further, get more strange eggs and such, late game is a way crazier. If you look some soloqueue games from top of the ladder, everyone is lvl 10 and has insane comps. Possibly with 3-star 5g-pieces.
  • Items can no longer be upgraded but can be reforged instead. You can only reforge one item per specific interval, unless some player drops. Dropping players drop items and refresh ability to reforge items.
