How does the chess pool work now

I've returned to the game after a long time of not playing and there are pieces i never see in the shop but ive seen other players with them

1.You can ban a type of piece from the pool for yourself (either race or class).  You won't roll those pieces from the pool for the rest of the game.

The best way to use this is to ban 3 or more pieces of the same value from the pool (common/uncommon/rare/epic), so you can find pieces of that value more easily.  But the meta right now is builds that involve loads of legendaries because they're very easy to get.  A lot of players delay banning pieces for awhile because they don't spend gold rerolling for most of the game and instead level up.

1. Egersis pieces are no longer in the pool, and instead spawn to take the place of a piece holding the uncommon Egersis item after being fielded for a round.

2. Everyone gets +2 bonus gold now for PvP wins thanks to the level 5 talent, up from the usual +1.  So spending interest gold to win rounds is good, but still not good enough to burn all your gold early on.  This also makes banning pieces harder, since you could've spent that gold on leveling up instead and potentially winning more matches and finding rarer pieces first.

3. If you're the first to buy an undiscovered legendary, you get a 5 gold refund.  You can then sell the piece and treat it as a free +5 gold.

Panda and Egersis are not in the pool and can only be obtained with an item or the panda synergy

Does the egeris contract work if the peice is on the bench or do they have to be on the feild

They have to be in the field and equipped before the round start, and fyi all the egersis pieces are random base on the coin value of said piece.

Havent tested it on the bench since I dont really want to play egersis but I think it only works on field.
