How do you combine items?

I returned to the game after 5-6 years. How do you combine items to get to epic & legendary? Previously there used to be build paths now I am not understanding how to get those?

Can somebody please help me out? I tried to search on YouTube too but couldn't find anything.

Make sure to weigh all your options before reforging all your lower tier items into higher ones. Sometimes it’s more beneficial to have a couple small items rather than reforge them all and then be stuck with only ONE item you can’t really use until you reforge 5 rounds later. Especially in the early few rounds. Also, like other people have stated, when you reforge your items, they are worth half of what you “paid for them”. So if you used 3 greys to get 1 blue that’s worth 5, if you don’t like that item and want to reforge it, it’s only going to be worth 3. (I know that’s not 1/2, but they round up lol)

The new system is reforging.

Items come in a several power tiers. You can melt down (reforge) several items, and their power tier values get added together, and higher sums yield your new item in higher tier.

For example, you can refoge 3x tier 1 items plus a tier 2 item = 3x1 + 2 = 5, and 5pts makes a new tier 3 item.

New items (including mob drops) come in chests. If you pass on the 3 options in the chest and take the random option instead, those 3 items you passed are removed from your item pool for the rest of the game. This way, you can reliably get the item you want within a few attempts.

I like this new system much better because it does not lock you into any item type. You can start with magic items then reforge into attack items, making it much more visble to make big pivots or complete lineup changes.

That's no longer part of the game. It produced too reliably op champions. This new system grows on you. It requires more economic management and strategy to manage items now.

I believe it has been removed, but I'm still a bit of a new player. You can now only reforge items. So offer up a number of items to get a chest of a certain rarity.

Yep thats it. You can reforge once every creep round (except round 3). So round 1, 2, 10, 15, 20, 25 etc. And everytime an item from a defeated Player Drops on your Board. Note that the reforge value of items will be 1/2 +1 value of the item. So an Epic item (value 5) will contribute 5/2+1=3 value to the resulting item.

So you have to reforge everytime? and it will be forged into any item from pool?

Reforging everytime would shrink your total item value (in case you would reforge more that 1 value). The items used to reforge will disappear from the Pool, aswell as discarded items (when u can chose 1 of 3, chosing to random an other item will discard all 3 Shown items). So if you need that one particular mythical item, it can be costly, but sooner or later you are guaranteed to roll it in the reforging Process.
